I'm only a few pages into the Effective Pandas book and so far I've found it to be very enjoyable even though the material is mostly known to me. This book can be used by a beginner to dive into a wonderful world of pandas possibilities but at the same time, a seasoned user can use it to refine his panda's skills do some things more effectively. There are so many Python-based libraries out there which can be used for a variety of data science tasks. Most of the examples of pandas code on blogs, videos, books, or otherwise push learners to use poor coding practices.

I skimmed through several chapters because I’m reasonably familiar with pandas, but I’d recommend the book to anyone who uses pandas a lot. Between taking courses, practicing on projects, and competing on Kaggle…how could you find enough time to finish a book?Also, I spent a lot of time creating the index for this book (I feel this is one of the most important features in the physical book). No deep dive into understanding pandas internal designs or best practices (although there are some tips and tricks here and there but not much). What things should they keep in mind while designing and developing their data science/engineering workflow?

Effective coverage of all pandas table-steaks topics: loading data, filtering, inspecting dataframes, typing, sorting, merging/joining, grouping, aggregating, shaping, melting, plotting, exporting, debugging (and even more). It has examples from NumPy, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas, but only to show the Python syntax in real-world examples. From doing SQL-like operations in-memory, to statistical analysis, to data visualization - this book covers pandas in its full breadth! In fact, I get asked this question so many times that I created a course, Effective Authoring, about book creation. More like a manual than a book with "Effective" in the title (Like Effective C++ or Effective Python).Used to commit all the ‘sins’ - lots of intermediate dataframes, lots of single cell calculations/transformations in the notebook. I added a few chapters, re-wrote much of the code (using some of the ideas found in my new book), edited some parts, and released the book. The basic, lowest cost version of the course does not include the exercises or other downloadable extras.
