I listen to romance novels all the time even during my lunch break and I rarely ever giggle and blush but this one did it. Once they start to talk and get to know each other outside the farm, that’s when the relationship really starts to blossom. I can quite honestly say I never thought I’d see the day but holy shit this Minotaur is dead fucking sexy!

One of her coworkers, who is some kind of part-insect, said: “There’s a sexual element in it for the clients, obviously, and that’s not even true for all of them. So this is probably the sweetest romance I could imagine for a premise that is so rooted in an erotic kink.

Their relationship, which is purely platonic except for what she needs to do for her job, slowly progresses, and this is where the romance part comes in. I liked the inclusivity of Cambric Creek and the way Violet examines her previously held prejudices and privilege as she learns about the community. When she sees a job posting at the Morning Glory Farm, she decides to take a chance on it as it pays well, even if she’s hesitant about the actual work. The writing was great (though it does switch between past and present a bit much) and the romance was so….

The backward drag of him pulling out made her throat stick, and then he was pushing back in, further than he’d gone before, and Violet was positive she felt it pressing into her spine. The mythology has it that the minotaur semen – alarmingly copious amounts of which are produced by the clients at the farm – is the magic ingredient in the “little blue pills” for human erectile dysfunction. Until Morning Milking Farm offers generous pay that might help Violet survive, Violet applied for the job that might change her whole life. I picked this book up because the same people who recommended I MARRIED A LIZARDMAN were touting this book and I actually liked the lizardman book. Milking minotaurs isn’t something Violet ever considered as a career option, but she’s determined to turn the opportunity into a reversal of fortune.I left this book thinking that if it were a real possibility, I may be down with dating a lovable, cuddly Minotaur (minus the 24 ounces -0. Morning Glory Milking Farm is my first monster romance, and I’ve got to say, it managed to be exactly what I expected it to be, but also unexpected in how sweet the romance was.

It’s not the kind of book I would usually pick up – it’s definitely one which was purely as a result of multiple *multiple* Twitter recs. Morning Glory Milking Farm is a short human/monster romance novel, featuring a high heat slow burn with a lot of heart, and a guaranteed HEA. Gotta say if you don't like long-ass paragraphs that just contain the MC's internal monologue or contemplation. Violet is resolved to make a dent in her student loans and afford name-brand orange juice, and a one-sided crush on an out-of-her-league minotaur is not a part of her plan—unless her feelings aren’t so one-sided after all. I found myself laughing at times at just how absurd this premise was and what I was reading on the page – you’ll need a massive suspension of disbelief to sit through it.Violet found that she couldn’t think badly of the woman in the photos, for she herself seemed completely different compared to the person she’d been only six months earlier; before she’d known about minotaur milking farms and vampire restaurants, when she’d been ignorant to the way her neighbors of different species lived and had been blind to her human privilege.

On her first ever "collection" she meets the hero, Rourke, and she gets him off so good, he cums back for seconds. This author seems to enjoy writing the inner processings of their character rather than the dialogue.

I’m trying to be more frugal with my book spending, so leaving it behind was probably the right choice (even if it is so pretty! Violet lives by the mantra “if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well” and is an enthusiastic study in her new role as a milking technician.
