I just feel that Libre intense might be too much for in the office or social gatherings where you don’t want to stand out too much. I thought based on the color of the juice and the simplistic design of the bottle it would be a rich, sophisticated, elegant "dark" fragrance with more of a mature back bone. Overall opinion: extremely synthetic heliotrope bomb, which is why it's really outrageous that heliotrope is not listed on Fragrantica after so many years since release. Update x2: wore this scent out and didn’t take my own advice and over-sprayed it, I got compliments left and right and was told I smelled very seductive and expensive. Don't get me wrong: I don't hate sugary mixtures: my signature is Angel, I love Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming which is rather sugary and Oud Satin mood which is like candy floss delicious and other sugary concotions too - but there's a line to be drawn between sweet and sickeningly sweet.

I've seen comparisons of this frag to YSL Libre Intense, so I knew I had to grab it because it's my signature scent. I can understand the appeal - it's right on the bucks for the younger generation - but it's frankly not so good or original. I detest patchouli but if the overall pyramid looks interesting enough and patchouli isn't high up in the notes I might give it a try. On first spray I get a little bit of fruitiness, but that fades and dries down to a warm, sexy alluring fragrance. I wore it day in and day out for the first few months, it’s been a few years and I still grab for it occasionally, and I still fall in love with it everytime. That annoying aftershave smell never goes away because it comes exactly from heliotrope and it's a base note and the key note as well. From the reviews I thought it would be a creamy coconut with a bit of freshness from the apple and neroli, that’s what I was hoping for. The Only One reminded me a great deal of Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Eau du Fraiche, it may be the coconut in the blend.

I don't know what was going on with my nose when I tested this, but reminded me so much of Versace's Crystal Noir. Now, in terms of longevity, it doesn’t last too long on skin or clothes for me, but subtlety of the caramel note is addictive. I don't really get any sweetness or caramel, the coffee is almost non existing and then it dries down to a weak vanilla skin scent which is gone after about two hours.

It mostly reads as a generic fruity pear and violet+iris on my skin, I'm barely getting any caramel, it certainly doesn't feel gourmand to me. The only one intense manages to combine airy juvenile sweetness of the coconut with alien wanna-be jasmine, which sounds amazing but in reality is too. Fun fact, she actually got a compliment from a woman at an indoor playground one time while wearing this! It did not last long on my hand but I think with multiple sprays on clothes you can get a decent scent cloud going.

All in all I like it but not what I was expecting based on other reviews, I was looking for another clubbing scent this one however ill reserve for dinners. the coffee note isn't as strong as Black Opium but there's a perfect caramel note and something creamy here which make it heaven for gourmand lovers. I feel like crying when people spend so much money on a present when the list of perfumes I want is aleays expanding.I collect perfumes and honestly it's very rare when I get impressed by a fragrance but this is beautiful! In the dry down you still smell a hint of coffee and powdery freshness with bergamot, pear, vanilla and caramel taking the wheel. I happened to see recently that The Scented (Yana) on YouTube just recently discovered Candy Prada and has been surprised by her love of it! And I didn't like it at all, it sealed the deal for me that I like The Only One and I plan on making it my signature scent. But after a while, I started to enjoy the soft vanilja base, really beautiful scent, not too sweet, somehow soft and fresh at the same time.

Then it dries down to a creamy, woody, floral very, very similar to Rouge Malachite although it might not be as rich, but it’s definitely rich enough.

Overall it's a very pleasant and inoffensive scent without being boring or smelling exactly like everyone else. The opening violets and citruses are an interesting counterbalance, though I have no particular opinion for it, other than it tempers everything down a little bit to make the fragrance less in-your-face. It's good for lounging and relaxing with a book or by the fire, or paired with heels in the club or a date.
