They acquired new problems along the way, as there were issues about human rights abuses where they filmed in China; about a lack of ethnic diversity amongst the non-acting crew members; about a swapping around of the character to be Mulan’s love interest to ensure it didn’t fall foul of the MeToo Movement. However, for pretty much every other Disney animated movie that has had a live action "remake" the animated version wins hands down, IMHO.
