Description

Textured exfoliating facial pads that are said to help reduce the look of dark spots, pores and uneven skin texture We’ve been hearing for years that Vitamin C is the best anti-aging ingredient. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals, the unstable molecules that contribute to the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. Even if you don’t have a full blown reaction to the ingredient, the damage may still be occurring every day. Ultimately, this can cause mild problems for your skin in the short term and worse problems in the long term. This is something to keep in mind before purchasing Elemis skincare products, especially if you have sensitive skin. Contains less than 1% of “key” ingredients (kombucha, fermented ginger, and fermented green tea seed oil)

The brand claims that grape seed extract and nordic bilberry extract are “key” ingredients. However, these ingredients are used in very low concentrations (less than 1%) lt;p>Experience eye-opening results with this clinically proven anti-wrinkle eye cream, which harnesses the powerful properties of hydrating Padina Pavonica, nutrient-rich Chlorella, and Blue Green Micro-Algae to smooth, firm, and tone delicate skin around the eyes.<br /> Nourish, firm and smooth the delicate eye area with Elemis Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal, now available at Face the Future Advanced Skin Clinic and Online Shop. Key ingredients include sweet almond oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, meadowfoam seed oil, flaxseed oil, macadamia seed oil, and rice bran oilBroccoli seed oil is almost 50 percent erucic acid, a type of monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid, which nourishes and protects skin from environmental aggressors. Broccoli seed oil also contains vitamin A, C and K as well as B vitamins. Flaxseed oil is the richest plant source of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically alpha linolenic acid (ALA). Omega-3 fatty acids improve the skin’s elasticity and texture, as well as help to calm redness. Daikon radish seed extract contains a mixture of C18, C20, and C22 fatty acids, which is unlike most cosmetic grade oils that primarily consist of C16 and C18 fatty acids. This unique mixture enables Daikon radish seed extract to impart a delicate slip with good absorption, as well as provide a sensory profile that is similar to esters and silicone type emollients. These three key ingredients combined with several other beneficial plant oils and extracts enables the Elemis Superfood Facial Oil to balance your complexion while providing a soft, supple feel to the skin after every application. A gel moisturizer that is said to deliver cooling hydration while helping to soothe and protect dehydrated or sensitive skin Founded in 1989, British skincare brand Elemis was one of the first pioneers of a holistic approach to beauty. The idea for this luxury line of skincare products came from entrepreneur and investor Linda Steiner. Linda’s goal was to create a line of products “as near to nature as possible” with “no expense spared.” She was soon joined by co-founders Noella Gabriel, Sean Harrington, and Oriele Frank, who helped turn Elemis into a sought-after brand that is now available in over 45 countries around the world.

Key ingredients include sweet almond oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, elderberry seed oil, oat kernel oil, wheat germ oil, and shea butterTo use: Apply every morning and evening after cleansing. Apply 1 pump to each ring finger and gently pat around the eye contours. Chlorella: This green microalgae has been shown to help maintain good skin condition, leaving it feeling firmer and looking healthy.

In fact, many of the Elemis skincare products contain more fragrance than key ingredients! One example is the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel. If you look at the ingredient list, Fragrance (Parfum) comes before papain (the enzyme derived from papaya extract) and pineapple extract. Elemis prioritizes using naturally-derived ingredients throughout their skincare line, but also includes skincare staples like vitamin C and peptides. These ingredients should all be part of your skincare routine. For maximum results, it can be applied over Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment (for maximum effects on dehydration and fine lines) or under the Pro-Definition Eye & Lip Contour Cream (for maximum effects on a thinning/ ageing skin) One reason this is problematic is because the low concentrations of key ingredients mean that there’s a low chance they will provide benefits to your skin. Don’t get us wrong, more doesn’t always equal better. This is true with the ingredient retinol, which is effective even at low concentrations. However, the brand could definitely use higher concentrations of ingredients like cucumber extract, avocado oil, and the other botanical extracts that they claim are key ingredients.A rinse-off mask that is said to deeply purify and help absorb excess oil to reveal a balanced, mattified complexion

Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Hull Powder, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Sclerotium Gum, Diazolidinyl Urea, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium PCA, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Lactate, Potassium Sorbate, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, PCA, Centaurea Cyanus (Cornflower) Flower Extract, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Glycine, Alanine, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Serine, Valine, Linalool, Caramel, Threonine, Isoleucine, Proline, Fragrance (Parfum), Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Lavandula Hybrida (Lavandin) Oil, Osmanthus Fragrans Flower Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Histidine, Phenylalanine, Sodium Hydroxide, Padina Pavonica Thallus Extract. A rinse-off exfoliator that gently dissolves dead skin cells without abrasion, leaving skin looking and feeling smooth, revitalised, and radiant. In our opinion, Elemis products aren’t worth the money, simply because there are other skincare brands that offer similar products that are less expensive.

Overall, we don’t recommend Elemis skincare products since the brand uses low concentrations of key ingredients, and they include fragrance in all product formulations. Pros How to use: Every morning and evening, apply one pump to both ring fingers and gently pat around the eye contour. Restore a firmer, smoother and more youthful appearance to the delicate eye area with this age-defying eye cream. Clinically proven*, this intensive eye cream reduces the appearance of fine lines and nourishes the delicate eye area. The powerful anti-ageing properties of Padina Pavonica are combined with the Amino Acids, Beta Carotenes and Vitamins B, C and E contained in Chlorella and Blue Green Micro-algae, to help smooth, firm and tone the delicate skin around the eyes.
