Relic of the Chapter – 1CP –Use before the battle if your Warlord has the Adeptus Astartes keyword. One ADEPTUS ASTARTES CHARACTER can be given one Chapter Relic. You can only use this once per game in Combat Patrol/Incursion, twice in Strike Force, and three times in Onslaught. All the normal rules for relics apply – you can’t double up on Relics and you can’t give a character more than one. Some subtle changes to the functioning of this from previous iterations – firstly, you can only use it if you have an ADEPTUS ASTARTES Warlord, so you can’t soup Marines in with something else and get their Relics. Secondly, you’re restricted on the number of uses by the game size. Also, in the Matched Play and GT formats, you must write this stuff down on your list rather than being able to decide at the table. The new weapon is a macro plasma incinerator, shooting a D6 Strength 8 shots with Damage 2 and Blast, expressly designed to destroy squads of heavy infantry. Since this plasma weapon is mounted on a vehicle, unmodified rolls of ‘1’ only deal a mortal wound instead of destroying the model. Shooting the macro plasma incinerator may be a valid choice for the increased Strength and Damage. Just keep your mighty Techmarine close to buff that right out.

Dark Angels Primaris upgrade sprues and 1x Dark Angels transfer sheet (not worth points but worth mentioning) Inceptors: Being able to arrive 3” away from the enemy is never going to be a weak rule, just look at the Trygon. With either Plasma or Bolters, the humble Inceptor is capable of trading with lone operatives and various other small units through their Twin-Linked rule. All of this while scoring an egregious number of points on secondaries and primaries by arriving in places where your opponent just can’t stop you. Always be aware of the option of R apid Ingressing these in, they can come in 3” away there too and have the movement to take full advantage. This article is about the Space Marine content since GW’s reveal contained a lot of actionable information, but I wanted to show off just how RIDICULOUSLY GORGEOUS the Necron models are. Unlike the Land Speeder, Storm Speeders do have a Damage Chart. You can see the degradation from the Hammerstrike example earlier in the article. However, when a Storm Speeder begins experiencing degradation after 5 Wounds, the Land Speeder would be on its last one. Meanwhile, Storm Speeders still have 5 to go. Armour of Contempt – 1CP –5+ against mortal wounds for a vehicle. Simple, effective stratagem, especially in a meta full of Harlequin bikes. B+ Centurion Devastator Squad -0 = 55 all weapons are -5, so 65 with 1x Grav, 75 with 2x HB, 85 with 2x Las But what’s all this talk of ‘command protocols’? Well, consider it one of the perks of biotransference which enables Necrons of high status to impose their will upon those who serve them. It may sound harsh, but don’t worry – for you, this is definitely a good thing! Here’s how it works… Hero of the Chapter – 1CP –Use before the battle if your Warlord has the Adeptus Astartes keyword. One ADEPTUS ASTARTES CHARACTER (excluding named characters) can be given a Warlord Trait. You can only use this once per game in Combat Patrol/Incursion, twice in Strike Force, and three times in Onslaught. As with relics you can’t have duplicate traits or double up on traits on one guy.

Dedicated Transports

If the Devastator Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Tactical Doctrine is now active. Varied playstyles. You can completely change the character of a Space Marine army simply by changing which supplement it draws its rules from. Iron Resolve: +1 W and a 6+ FNP. Fine, and can be funny if taken on e.g. a bike or Gravis-armoured character, but you can do better and a 6+ FNP is not hard to come by in Marines if you really want one. C+ The extra strength of the hellstorm bolt rifles offsets the added shots of Intercessors, but both are blown away by an equivalent value of Aggressors. The Intercessors would fare better against horde models with a lower toughness, but in that scenario the boltstorm gauntlet variant would be even nastier. The analysis above assumes that all of the units are moving so the Aggressors don’t get the option to fire twice. Overall for players who are looking to field a lot of Gravis units it wouldn’t be the worst idea to give Heavy Intercessors executor bolt rifles for heavy targets while Aggressors mop up the chaff.
