Description

I suppose one could insert a very long grinding head and attempt to wallow out a larger diameter hole, then touch up the edge with black paint. The erect image star diagonal makes the optical tube ideal for using as a spotting scope during the day. Learn more about extra solar planets imagery, 3D Star rendering, observation planning, telescope control, multiple-panel printing, and much more. This is a relief since trying to correct focuser and objective cell orientations has proven difficult in the past.

Saturn was especially mesmerizing for most observers and people often looked into the objective side thinking the whole view was some kind of projection trick. If it is decentering I should be able totap a hole for a grub screwto push the flint slightly away from the bottom third of the cell. Another option might be to cut the end off the plastic one and make a transition piece out of it in some way. My guess is that in loosening and repositioning the objectiveso that the spacer tabs cover the screws, I have moved the elements to an unfavorable relative orientation--I know this moved some. This award-winning optical system reduces visual defects like field curvature and coma, creating an ultra-flat field for pinpoint stars all the way to the edge of today’s largest imaging sensors. Checking the retaining ring tightness and centering have become standard operating procedure with a new one. Anyway, I am thinking about picking up one of these to play around with and wondered what others here had experienced with them.

I couldn't tell if theywere welded/glued/adhered in any way, but they are probably stuck at their edgesby the paint. So would the 24mm Panoptic or a used 22mm Panoptic (one of my favorites, which I still own 30 years later).I know it's a spotter and zoom that is maxed at 60x but it is a 60mm, and one with some amazing lenses in it in my opinion. The baffle is so narrow that it appears that it will just barely allow full field illumination in the central 1-2 mm of field (estimated by sighting down the tube.
