I know that kids books are not meant to be taken literally, but the message here kinda sucks and the only thing this book has going for it is the cool cut out, fold up, pop up animals. But as we read on and flipped the flaps he had some questions that kind of took him away from the story, like what are lions and how exactly does being fierce disqualify the lion from being a good pet?
