Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy, Noughts and Crosses) will take the lead role of Lisa, joined by Toby Regbo as Matt (Chivalry, A Discovery of Witches) Yaamin Chowdhury (The Lazarus Project, The Essex Serpent) as Akash and Phil Davis as Edward (Trying, Viewpoint). The series has now finished filming in the north of England, and was directed by Geoffrey Sax ( Dalgliesh) and adapted by Paula Milne ( Him). There are two annexes in these standards that list the skills nurses must have, and the procedures they must be able to do when they join our register.

Commissioned by ITV’s Head of Drama Polly Hill from Fremantle’s Dancing Ledge Productions, (The Responder, The Salisbury Poisonings), the 4x60” series has been adapted by acclaimed and multi award-winning screenwriter Paula Milne (Him, The Politician’s Husband, White Heat) from the globally renowned, best-selling novel of the same title by Louise Doughty. BAFTA-nominated Jasmine Jobson announced as lead in new ITVX drama, Platform 7, from Dancing Ledge Productions, adapted by BAFTA and international Emmy award-winning screenwriter Paula Milne from the bestselling novel by Louise Doughty Platform 7 will be an ITVX premiere, exclusive to ITV’s new free streaming service, many months ahead of linear transmission on the ITV1 main channel. Fremantle will handle the international distribution of the drama. Overall I think that the idea was better than the execution. There were scenes which were both powerful and horrific, but more often than not these were lost in a painstakingly redundant narrative which repeatedly looses itself in digressions that added very little to the overarching story. The 4x60” series will be adapted by acclaimed and multi award-winning screenwriter Paula Milne (Him, The Politician’s Husband, White Heat) from the globally renowned bestselling novel of the same title by Louise Doughty.

Jasmine, most recently known for her Bafta-nominated role as Jaq in Top Boy, will be joined by Toby Regbo as Matt (Chivalry, A Discovery of Witches) Yaamin Chowdhury (The Lazarus Project, The Essex Serpent) as Akash and Phil Davis as Edward (Trying, Viewpoint). The drama is a haunting thriller following central character Lisa who, after witnessing a cataclysmic event on platform 7 of a railway station, finds her own fragmented memory jogged to reveal a connection between her own life and that of the event she has just witnessed. Supernatural elements combine with contemporary realism in this chilling drama. Toby Regbo ( A Discovery of Witches), Yaamin Chowdhury ( The Lazardus Project), Phil Davis ( Trying) and Reece Ritchie ( The Outpost) will also star. Darren demonstrated in all aspects of the care that he was involved the ability to adhere to the Code, and clearly identified the Duty of Candour. He also had to think critically and used an array of evidence to draw conclusions and actions about the care he provided. Doughty’s description of the former is, to use that word again, haunting. Through the eyes of Evans’s ghost, who can not only pass through physical doors but also see past, present, and future, we enter into the apparent logic, and begin to see the patterns of, coercive control. They are described in the “matter-of-fact” manner of one who believes, and yet knows she can do so only by suspending her unbelief and her sense of what is acceptable and proportionate — essentially, her sense of self.

While writing it from Louise Doughty’s astute and emotionally intelligent novel, I began to feel she’s the ghost in all of us; the unseen part of us when we find ourselves reflecting on the wisdom of our past decisions. Sometimes with regret, occasionally with rancour but more often with the complicated relish of what it means to be human.” As ghost-Lisa becomes preoccupied with the latest suicide on 'her' platform she somehow becomes able to remember her own past. The switch between ghost-story to a tale of an abusive-relationship is quite jarring. The drama is a haunting thriller following central character Lisa who, after witnessing a cataclysmic event on platform7of a railway station, finds her own fragmented memory jogged to reveal a connection between her own life and that of the event she has just witnessed.Supernatural elements combine withcontemporary realismin this chilling drama." Platform 7 cast - who's in it? As the narrative slowly progresses ghost-Lisa seems increasingly incongruous. Although she initially stresses that she is a mere consciousness with no links to her past, she can also 'see', 'float', and move her human-shaped-ghost-body. In July 2022, ITV commissioned a four-part adaptation of Louise Doughty's Platform Seven from Dancing Ledge Productions, penned by Paula Milne. Chris Carey and Laurence Bowen of Dancing Ledge would executive produce the series with Kate Triggs. The series is produced by Rosalie Carew and directed by Sarah Walker. [1]

Planning for his shift

To be honest, I probably would not have read Platform Seven had it not roused my interest because it was set in Peterborough. But perhaps the omission of its most remarkable landmark — and, indeed, any aspect of religion — in favour of the railway station, and the parkways and the suburbs they connect, in itself reflects a kind of embarrassed silence which those who live with abuse or die by suicide still encounter, not least on the part of the Church. I’m super excited to be taking the lead in this amazing psychological thriller, based on Louise Doughty’s phenomenal best-selling novel. I’m also thrilled that I get to show audiences a completely different side to what I can do on screen with this character.” This is an unnerving, chilling and deeply unsettling novel from Louise Doughty, a literary blend of haunting ghost story and thriller revolving around two suicides that take place on the eponymous Platform Seven at Peterborough Station. In the very early hours of a bitterly cold November morning, a man makes his way to an isolated part of the station, far from any member of staff, thinking himself entirely alone as he walks purposefully to the edge of the platform. He is not alone, he is closely observed by the ghost of Lisa Evans, a secondary school teacher, but she is unable to intervene and prevent the tragedy that ensues. Unusually, the story is narrated by Lisa's ghost.

Recent television adaptations of Louise Doughty’s work include Apple Tree Yard and Crossfire which is also produced by Dancing Ledge Productions. You do know she doesn’t like me all that much, don’t you?” How does Matty separate Lisa from her friends? Jobson said: "I’m super excited to be taking the lead in this amazing psychological thriller, based on Louise Doughty’s phenomenal best-selling novel. I’m also thrilled that I get to show audiences a completely different side to what I can do on screen with this character." Platform Seven is beautifully written I sank into the writing of it - and the premise was clever and involving. Told from the point of view of a ghost, haunting a train station, there is a mix of mystery and drama that was immediately engaging.
