Briefly recapping the Spendor review: I heard a full, rich and natural sound from the Classic 1/2 but precision from the D7.2 whose taught bass and better-extended treble connotes more of a live feel. Each loudspeaker model impressed in its own way, my preference flip-flopping between them. In a perfect world, I’d want a hybrid of the two – more precision and a slightly firmer bass from the Classic 1/2 but more body and warmth with the D7.2. Nope, I’m never satisfied. IsoAcoustics has been around since 2012. Yet in that short period of time, the company seems to have made some fairly significant strides. Today, IsoAcoustics offers a variety of audio isolation products geared towards home audio speakers, professional studio monitors, source components, turntables, guitar amplifiers, and even stage monitors. The company serves the audiophile, cinemaphile, musician, and professional engineer alike. So I'm waxing lyrical right? Guy spends stupid money on speakers feet and placebo effect wins the day? I don't think so. I was not sat there straining to hear these differences, they are there immediately and with no doubt. Designed for floor standing speakers weighing up to 120 lbs or 54kg, the GAIA II will provide more openness and clarity, while reducing structural borne noise. The patented IsoAcoustics technology is based from years of experience in the design and construction of radio and television studios.

Unboxing and Setup

There were four things specifically that piqued my curiosity about IsoAcoustic and led to the current review: When I turned on listening material I knew extremely well for the first time, I was literally stunned.

Interesting, thank you for that. You can see that there is a difference in the distortion, the RT60, and the clarity charts, but I don't know if they're enough to be heard. In some cases it looks like the Gaia's actually make things worse (in the low mid bass area), which i can't see being the case. That's probably the accuracy of the mic. Then second thing I noticed, stereo image is much more focused and in the centre, it's like the room has been acoustically treated a notch.

In summary

We do provide installation options for built-in appliances providing it is simply a case of fitting the appliance and furniture doors. Any additional work to the kitchen units or carpentry work required will need to be completed at the customer’s expense. Thus, I discussed with Morrison the possibility of reviewing some of the footers by trying them out on two sets of speakers that were currently at my home. One set were on stands; the Alta Audio FRM-2 Celesta, while the other set were a new Alta Audio floor standing model; the Alec. IsoAcoustics tested the GAIA isolators performance at the acclaimed National Research Council of Canada. Gaia II - Supports equipment up to 121 pounds (55 KG) // Dimensions per isolator - 2" x 1.7" (51 x 43mm)
