After Sentinel Prime's death and the Decepticon takeover of Iacon, Crosshairs was among the individuals that Megatron wanted located, probably to gain access to the city's armories. Having gone into hiding, Crosshairs bore witness to the newly-appointed Optimus Prime as he delivered a speech to the gathered Autobots. Pointblank was among the Autobots who took Omega Supreme for repairs after he was injured by Monstructor in Spotlight: Optimus Prime. Pointblank's disposition improved a bit when he was paired with Peacemaker, a Nebulan law enforcement officer whose optimistic attitude is almost contagious. But so far Pointblank has displayed immunity to the Nebulan's best efforts to cheer him. Pointblank appreciates the attempt, but disapproves of the source. Although he understands the reasons behind the Autobot-Nebulan alliance, he does not accept them. The thought of spreading the war to another planet and people is anathema to the dour Autobot. Despite this, Peacemaker enjoys the challenge of loosening up his partner. He is a very patient man who believes that a positive outlook ultimately leads to success. And, as the partner of the sullen Pointblank, he's learned that patience is more than a virtue... it's a necessity. In TakaraTomy's take on the line, everyone is established as visiting the " Legacy World" (レガシーワールド), alternatively "Legacy Spacetime" (レガシー時空) or "Transformers Legacy World" (トランスフォーマーレガシーワールド) in full. Their origin universe descriptions are largely similar, to the point of using Hasbro's names for the lines rather than their own (in line with their use of Hasbro's names for the characters), but there are still some notable differences and inconsistent terminology: Connect the tabs on the top of the small red piece in the middle to the corresponding slots underneath each robot foot. After Optimus Prime brought Devastator down with a blast to the head, Sideswipe was restrained by the surviving Decepticons. Prime Directive #5 However, through human intervention, Optimus Prime freed his Autobots and the battle was rejoined. Sideswipe tag-teamed with his brother to pummel Soundwave, though the Decepticons eventually escaped when Superion sacrificed his life to save the city from General Hallo's unauthorized nuclear missile launch. I still say a combination of Titans Return and Power of the Primes Metalhawk is the best way to update pretenders. You have the shell/pretender form represented by the POTP shell and the head can represent the smaller version of the inner robot while the larger figure plus the head is the full on bot mode, plus the shell has a use in bot mode as a weapon. It allows integration of all aspects of the figure and helps portray the toon version of pretenders where their pretender form is smaller than their true robot form. Siege episode 4 Peacemaker was a member of the Rescuebots, a group of Autobots dedicated to protecting humans, and acted as the weapon of their combined mode, Defensor. When Defensor was injured in battle with Trypticon and unable to lift Peacemaker, Steeler came to the rescue and propped the gun-bot up with his Bridge Layer, granting the combiner another shot at Trypticon. A few who dared to defy this edict underwent the binary bonding process, took on code names, and became Targetmasters. Pointblank was soon paired up with Peacemaker. Optimus Prime then showed up on Nebulos and was introduced to the Autobot's Headmaster and Targetmaster partners. He was also informed that the Decepticons also had access to the same technology and the key to the plasma energy chamber. The Autobots went to the Decepticons to fight but they and their Nebulan partners had nearly completed their project. The Decepticons engaged the Autobots in combat but were surprised to see that the Autobots now had Targetmaster partners too.
