Headrush FrFr 108 is a Specially-voiced 8-inch woofer, while the headrushFrFr 112 is a Specially-voiced 12-inch woofer.

We built the HeadRush FRFR-108 just for you, the discerning guitarist/bassist - if you’re looking to elevate the performance of your HeadRush Pedalboard, Gigboard or any other FX/Amp modeller, your search is over. You’ve found the HeadRush FRFR-108! A precise, full response over the whole frequency range, without any artificial colouration, is delivered by its precisely voiced 12-inch woofer and high-frequency compression driver, which is essentially necessary to reflect the artist’s tone. The HeadRush FRFR-108 is a portable 2000-watt full-range, flat-response powered cabinet that works in unison with your HeadRush Pedalboard, Gigboard, or any other multi-FX/amp modeller. Specially-voiced 8-inch woofer and high-frequency compression driver deliver a precise full response across the entire frequency range without any artificial colouration Connected to normal music it sounds great. It's just not designed to sound like a guitar amp, that's all ;) Hmmmm....I haven't been to GC in a while.....NO! Don't spend more money! But it's for the music......AWAY DEMON SPENDTHRIFT! Cursed logic! You spoil all my fun! I use the Alto TS 308 for dialing in tones at home and as a monitor or speaker/amp during rehearsal and the occasional gig. Works good enough for me and has plenty of headroom. As was suggested in this thread, if you use the speaker as a monitor you can get some bass coupling, which you may find gives you that "boomy" sound. But, put it on a monitor or speaker stand and it works great. Indeed the vertical position is preferred as it gives you a slightly better idea of the sound. When used as a monitor the sound you hear seems to be a bit more dependent on your position as a player.

New powered speaker day...my birthday pressy from my wife and daughters came today, to use with my Pod Go and Vox Tonelabs!Full Range, Flat Response - Specially-voiced 8-inch woofer and high-frequency compression driver deliver a precise, flat response across the entire frequency range without any artificial colouration Is the Alto comparable to the Headrush? I've read that the Headrush is more tuning to guitar EQ, whereas the Alto has a preamp for vocals. Specially-voiced 8-inch woofer and highfrequency compression driver deliver a precise, flat response across the entire frequency range without any artificial colouration There seem to be a lot of satisfied players, guitarist and keyboardist, who are using them for stage monitoring? Just like the FRFR-108, it will give you a realistic room-filling sound with the authentic feel of a speaker pushing air. It was built for the discerning guitarist/bassist. Key Features It features a 2-way 8” speaker, two XLR/TRS 1/4” combo inputs with autonomous amplification, switching contour EQ for improving chaotic noise mixes, and an ultra-light mountable cabinet. In general, both the FRFR 112 and 108 from Headrush share mainly three things in common: design, color, and output wattage. The FRFR 108 is an electrical cabinet, so you can only use it with line level signal inputs. By contrast, FRFR 112 is designed for digital amp model sets.

With a robust, lightweight chassis, a plethora of connectivity options, ample power for small to medium sized venues, expansion options and surgically tuned/voiced speaker, the HeadRush FRFR-108 is the ultimate solution for the forward-thinking guitarist seeking a monitoring or sound reinforcement solution, precision engineered for modelling processors. HeadRush FRFR-108 Specs: I recently used a stomp with 2 108's in a garage practice and 108's sounded great at reasonable sound bass & drummer. The FRFR-108 will integrate well with your existing gear and open up a world of new sonic possibilities. If you’re a guitarist or a bassist and you make use of modelling technology, the Headrush FRFR 108 would work just fine for you. It is also for those who desire a straightforward, inexpensive, and potent studio or home practice setup. I don't know if two 108s will sound louder than a single 112. I do know that my FRFR112 goes louder that I want to play without good earplugs. The FRFR-108 delivers extraordinary acoustic accuracy and high SPL (sound pressure levels), to ensure that the music is projected with the utmost clarity and with exactly the tonal character that the guitarist/bassist intended. Someone said if you're using them as stage monitors then the FOH speakers will provide some bass compensation on stage? Effortless Connectivity: Whatever the situation demands, the HeadRush FRFR-108 includes hassle-free connectivity options for sheer versatility on stage or in rehearsal scenarios alike. With 2 XLR/TRS 1⁄4-inch combo inputs, each with their own independent volume control and clip indicator, amplifying and mixing two separate signal sources couldn’t be any simpler – plus with a thoughtful Ground-Lift switch, eliminate unwanted noise at venues with grounding issues and ensure you sound at your best every time.
