Soundstage: Soundstage height is larger than the typical budget IEM which is quite curious and definitely aids while watching movies and such. Soundstage width is moderate but stage depth is pretty poor. Having on dynamic driver (10mm) and one balanced armature along with 16Ohm impedance and 106dB sensitivity makes the KS2 easier to drive than some of its rivals. I can confer with those findings as the KS2 does seem easy to drive. Since this is designed to be used as a Smartphone replacement headphone, that only makes sense. And it works out that way. KS1 is a v-shaped iem and hence the mids are recessed and sounded thin. E500 owns this part where it sounds balanced in the mix without being recessed. Meanwhile, Tanya has a slightly less forward mids but is covered up by lower treble, which overall sounds a bit upper mids and lower treble emphasized.

The IEMs nozzle is long and wide as well and KBEAR states this extends the life of the IEM. I don’t see how a long or short canal can influence that, but ok. The KBEAR KS2 does feature an aluminum alloy nozzle, which is a nice touch at this price. I’m not so sure that this is making the mid-bass clean and smooth, as they say. CONCLUSION: Music is pleasant, good for electronic without too much punch, video and film given the well expressed mids. Definitely not suitable for sound engineers, but given the low price they are a great deal for those who want to listen to music in a decent way. Attachments Be aware though, there are some reports of its nozzle falling apart by some users, so take note of that when tip rolling. I hope Kbear solves this, one way or the other.

KBEAR KS2 COUPON

The KB06 is a well balanced W shape tuning with bright tonality from low to highs while the KS2 is a V shape boombox that is way less versatile due to it’s poor technicalities. It's not long since KBEAR released their excellent KB04 hybrid which could be described as a "Diamond Lite". It delivered a good proportion of the Diamond's performance at a fraction of the cost. Now we have another 1DD + 1BA hybrid at an even lower price, the KS2. The tonality of the KBEAR KS1 is quite similar to the BLON BL-01, perhaps the KBEAR KS1 is a tinge more V shaped (slightly more midbass and slightly more treble). Build: the build is high quality plastic housing that feels light and sturdy. The shape of the housing fit my ear perfectly and the size is also perfect for me ears as well. The cable a tight weaved 4 core cable which is light and excellent for the iem , negative is the earhook shape which is like a 270 degree curve. If you’re familiar with the dreaded brown KZ cable, you will feel right at home with the one included with the KS2. This is a tightly-braided copper cable with QDC type 2-pin connectors and pre-formed ear guides. Above the Y-split the cable is quite thin and that plus the omission of a chin slider means that it’s very prone to tangling.

Although, with that negatives, the enjoyment while pairing them on my music player (YP-Q2) is undeniable. The bass is now well controlled, midrange more present and treble even more refined. I thoroughly enjoyed Eggboy’s 98-05 compilation album while strolling with my small player. If you pair them well, they shine through. Treble is where KS1 has a bit of an edge. It doesn’t mean it excels. KS1 treble can be described as detailed but not piercing. E500 has a relaxed treble meanwhile Tanya has a hint of lower treble but nothing special up top. Conclusion: This IEM was not a bad attempt by KBEAR but I also wouldn't say its the best. Still, the KS2 is a great IEM in its price range. If you have spare cash lying around on the floor, you should try to get you hands on it.Finally, the treble is inoffensive. It’s just there to make sure that things don’t sound overly dark but it takes the furthest seat in the entire presentation. Cymbals hits sound muted, they easily smear into each other, and there is hints of splashiness despite the recessed treble. It doesn’t draw much attention to it, but when you pay attention to the treble — it’s not good in terms of resolution/timbre. Removable Cable & Ealuminum Alloy Nozzle】4 strands of 6N OFC high-quality wires not only effectively improve the transparency, separation, sound field, making the sound bottom crystal clear, vocals and musical instruments are more beautiful and beautiful, but also reduce signal transmission lost. Exchangeable 2PIN wire design improves the playability. and a limit slot is added to extend the life of the headset. KBEAR KS2 adopts aluminum alloy nozzle, which making the mid-bass clean and smooth. Powerful and deep with a tight midbass , it doesn't interfere with the midrange and the texture is medium level in quantity. Speed is also medium level , not the fastest or the slowest I've heard and also it has cleaness to it.

Like the BLON BL-03, in terms of technicalities, both of these sets are below average in this department. I think the BLON BL-01 just nudges ahead a tinge in the imaging, instrument separation, details and soundstage departments. Timbre is slightly better on the KBEAR KS1. Translucent Resin Cavity Stylish Design】The cabinet cavity of KBEAR KS2 is made of imported high-density PC material which can well suppress the diffuse reflection of sound waves inside the cavity. Through the optimization of the internal cavity acoustic structure, the overall sound is more warm and charming, and the soft and mellow audio performance is reproduced as the real picture. Translucent resin material, bright streamer, full of beauty and technology! KS1 is a budget single DD iem that is not for me. It has the clarity up top for the asking price but the mids are recessed for someone who appreciates vocals. The bass is a bit blunt with a one note perception. However, this doesn’t stop me from looking at more KBear sets, especially the Starshine that has good use of the EST driver for the graph. This review came short as I think the set is a bit average considering the competition given by Tanya and E500. I'm also new on reviewing so please tell me your inputs about it! I'm happy to listen and learn from you guys!

I did touch on imaging a bit earlier, and the term “muddy” is still best to describe it. Instrumentation is difficult to place outside of left and right channel, and the clashing of frequencies with the bass overly exaggerate the V-Shaped frequency response. Mic Quality - KZ does this very well. My voice sounds very clear on the other side and I never heard any complaints. Totally recommend this for phone calls and Zoom meetings. Treble head like me loves me some good high and it does not disappoint me and has some good energy/sounds lively. It has good amount of details and clarity but on certain instrument like guitars and horn instruments are not what I'm used to . The timbre or tone of these especially in the lower treble comes with shrillness and the instrument sounds bit sharp or thin especially guitar. On first impressions, the KS2 didn't have much of a detailed separation, most of the sound comes out as one cohesive sound with the bass sounding slightly separated due to it being boosted. However, when listening closer, you can actually hear that the separation level here is between the highs, mids level. Highs usually get drowned out on the genres that I listen to, but works better with Rap and RnB. In heavier genres or songs, the sound tend to sound rather mashed up and hence I don't recommend this for heavy genre songs such as Metal. These are a fairly narrow IEM and have a low profile in your ears. I personally find the KS2 to be an extremely comfortable IEM. Furthermore, the earphones fit very securely in my ears and stay in place without me having to continually reposition them over time.

KBEAR has grown and is now offering quite good budget IEMs. They have learned to interact with the community and to implement criticism. Overall, I am not a big fan of the housing of the earphones, I think it could have been swapped out for a matte finishing plastic that does not attract fingerprints. However to give them some credit, the shell does feel rather sturdy despite its lightweight so that's great. On the inner side of the shell there is a single small vent. The nozzle is aluminium and has a good ridge which holds eartips securely in place. As is usually the case, there’s also a protective metal mesh covering the nozzle opening.

Mids: The upper-mids are boosted as is very common nowadays, with the typical 2Khz and 4Khz boosts in place. This makes female vocals too upfront and higher-pitched vocals end up being shouty and fatiguing at times. There are also hints of sibilance, as can be found on Avril Lavigne’s I’m With You. The dynamic driver gives you a recessed but very well presented mid-range. You will not get a shouty mid range here….BUT….. I have to warn that these are easy to drive which means that you can blast your ears out out with the volume you generate from these earphones. The included cable is ok. It’s a good step up with what’s included with the Blon BL-03. In that it doesn’t tangle up as easily and has a more comfortable fit around the ear. It is a good cable for free and the right angle 3.5mm connector is awesome for portable gaming. I recently received a few pairs of IEMs for review. The KB EAR KS2 was the first one of the group that I tried. The sub-bass feels full in terms of sonic quality in that they sound well-rounded, but you do not feel a huge mass of sub-bass, rather the sub-bass is present rather than prominent.
