The freedom of media in Pakistan is something that has been debated upon by many. In her book, Reham claims that her former husband had influence of several leading media houses in the country. Even in the organisations that he boycotted, there were “plants” who served as pro-PTI voices. His “friends” in the media include Tahir A Khan of News One to Zafar Siddiqui of Samaa, the book claimed. Her life story is not interesting enough to fill such a lengthy book.It is a no holds barred assault on Imran. There are very long chapters as we begin the story arc on Imran Khan. Without delving into spoilers, I’ll like to add that I feel, both parties would have thought through before embarking on the journey of marital bliss. This is because both were married prior and divorced with kids. In a Pakistani culture, Reham was bringing her three children into the family and this was a complex situation. Any wrong-doing would have affected the children in different capacities which is why I’m very wary of the fact that these two adults made the decision of getting married. There would have been repercussions and problems in adjustment for children on both sides. And we see this happen as the story progresses.

There are a lot of allegations against Imran,his womanizing,use of drugs,and several illegitimate children in different parts of the world.There is also a good deal of criticism of the way he runs his political party,and the unsavoury characters who surround him in the party. She does make some valid points about this subject. Reham further claims that several women in the party would boast (to Imran) about the number of men they had sexual encounters with. His alleged penchant for ‘sexting’, the book claims, was well known in Lahori circles.The miracle of Reham’s story is that, throughout it all, this housewife-turned-journalist-turned-social-activist has managed to balance her work with her primary role of being a mother. She shows us the challenges that a woman can overcome when she wants more from life than tradition expects of her. This was probably one of the most carelessly written books I've ever read. EVER. The language isn't engaging, and the writing technique (if there is one) is quite sloppy. Reham Khan writes about how ex-husband Imran Khan’s drug addiction got out of hand, even if he preferred her being a ‘clean woman’.

When my first husband would get drunk every night, I would get very angry about it, especially when he would collapse in public and I’d have to put him in the car and drive him home. My attitude was not the least bit understanding, but with Imran, I was gentle. Not once did I show anger or accuse him of being a drug addict. Instead, I adopted a quieter approach. Every morning, I would find his saucer hidden in a new spot, with a credit card and residual coke. I would move it so Imran would know that I knew. He had asked me right at the start to support him in getting out of his bad habits. I made gentle suggestions, and he made endless promises to quit. However, in a separate interview with German newspaper Deutsche Welle, Khan’s ex said the memoir was not exclusively focused on the politician. She explained: “The book tells the story of my life, my experiences, and my journey through different continents, different cultures. My marriages are a part of my life and so have been included in the book. It is an honest account.”Her exˋs chamchas(sycophants), the Insafian/PTI supporters have been ready to denounce the parts related to her husband as a slander. However the fact that what Imran Khan had himself to say about the book amounts to a total of zero words, says a lot, Daal mein kuchh kaala hai!

The reason to read this is the first part of the book, providing an insightful delightful account of her pathan culture, especially the strict Deobandi Sunni Muslim outlook of her life, the same school of her religion to which the Taliban, and the likes of Mullah Umar belong. However this is also a modern liberated western Muslim woman, herein is the way for future, to tolerate and coopt. Reham Khan was born in Libya in the 1970s to an educated, affluent Pakistani-origin family. Her eventful life took her from Gaddafi's Libya to the Zia years in Pakistan and thence to England as a teenage bride before she returned to Pakistan in her 40s. It’s a life of extraordinary both a brutal marriage and domestic abuse, but also the rebuilding of a life, the raising of three children and subsequent media success. And in recent years the contrasts have Reham has built a successful career as a broadcast journalist and anchor, and has established herself as a powerful media force in the UK and Pakistan - but also, after years of struggle, she now finds herself in the midst of a complex web of politics, deceit and intrigue. He would say repeatedly; “You’ve made me give up cocaine. It’s no fun when your partner doesn’t do it”. And he would say it as if there was nothing else good about the marriage. I realised later that he wanted me to think he was not doing it anymore, so I would never talk about it after he carried out his plan. However, the drug use had increased so much by October that it couldn’t really be hidden. The day of the NA-122 (Lahore-V) result was a major moment. We had been watching the results on TV. I have decided to take legal course of action [against her] and my legal team is sitting to decide how to proceed,” Mr Saeed told reporters without naming Reham Khan. Reham Khan makes startling revelations about Imran’s alleged drug addiction. She writes that she had caught her husband red-handed snorting coke in their bathroom. While he allegedly assured her that she need not worry about his drug problem, she claims that the habit never stopped.

Reham Khan has now alleged that Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan is a homosexual and had relationships with Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf worker Murad Saeed. As per reports, Reham has made another highly sensitive claim in the book where she had written that Pakistan captain Wasim Akram used his late wife to fulfill his ‘sexual fantasies’.

Reham Khan also goes on to write that Imran regretted marrying Jemima. “You know, I cried on the night of our wedding reception when I got married to Jemima…Jemima had a few drinks at the reception, and passed out. I cried myself to sleep,” Reham quotes Imran as allegedly saying. Further, the book also claims that Jemima had a bad temper and that Imran used to physically abuse her. I never even made a direct or insulting comment about his addiction. I only ever mentioned the Epill once. I could see a growing campaign against me, with images of his sister, ex-wife, and sons being promoted on PTI social media. It was deliberately being painted that his ex-wife and sisters were his family, and that I was an outsider who had no place. didn't find much sympathy. She had to get even,and so she wrote this book,nicely timed to be released just before the election which brought Imran to power in 2018. I am sorry but i have to say ,it seems like you made up entire story potraying yourself as narcissit and self proclaimed victim at the same time.
