RP: I like to imagine other bands going, “Look, I’ve come up with this song that goes dunk-du-dunk-du-dunk-du-dunk” and the other members going, “Well, we can’t do that because we’ll sound like Status Quo! With a Pop 30 [sic] hit and a current chart album under their belts, they hit the road last week for a sensational British tour.

The power boogie is indeed there, as represented by crowd-pleasers like "Don't Waste My Time" and "Paper Plane," but so also are quieter, softer pieces with acoustic textures and progressive structures. I have a version that is exactly the same as this one but 'Printed and made by Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd. GREAT DELUXE EDITION OF THIS CLASSIC QUO ALBUM FROM 1972, COMES IN A NICE 2 CD BOX SET WITH FANTASTIC LINER NOTES AND A BONUS DISC OF LIVE BBC AND JOHN PEEL RECORDINGS FROM BOTH 1972 AND 73, IM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS RELEASE, ALSO THE REMASTERING IS AWESOME TO! RP: We had just started touring and immediately we started to rehearse this ‘Roadhouse Blues’ track and it became very popular. Denim-clad Francis Rossi’s lead vocals and Rick Parfitt’s harmonies presided over a mesh of guitars, with a sound that the band were to make their own.A much better album than any of the five preceding releases but still fairly average in comparison to the band's early seventies output. After their Rehearsals and some more soundchecks the band was heavily pissed off because the backstage area was the living room from the family Wölki, the owners of the club. Tour Note: *support to T-Rex Gigs in Germany, promoted by Mama Concerts and their first ever **US Tour - supportto Savoy Brown and Mandrill and a co-headline tour with UK rockers Slade (Australia).

Someone’s sending a message to China, do-do-do-doo-do-doo-do-do, all you’d have to do is sit down and work it out! After the initial success, the band were no longer successful and we decided we didn’t want to wear that kind of clothing anymore and we wanted to go back to something similar to what we’d done before the success. London Paris Theatre - this gig was recorded by the BBC and pressed onto a transcription vinyl disc in limited quantities. But with Piledriver we were playing that stuff live and when we went into the studio we were ready to go! The above US/CANADA dates are direct from a crew-memberspersonal archives and more details are still being sought on dates after this. The change was a drastic, but natural one as the line-up of Francis Rossi (guitar and vocals), Rick Parfitt (guitar and vocals), John Coghlan (drums) and Alan Lancaster (bass and vocals) moved remarkably in sync from one era to the next.

When Francis Rossi (of Quo) spilt his drink as the, plane hit turbulence, he decided to take his jeans off and walk to the front of the plane, holding his wet jeans to complain to the Captain.

I really don't recommend anything but you could listen to Cross That Bridge and Burning Bridges for a bit of a laugh. Without any privacy the band was too upset and made a dicision to leave the club only 3 hours before the start of the regular gig in the evening. This was certainly not the case in Sydney as the announcer can clearly be heard telling the audience that Status Quo will be on soon. Status Quo took a while to get into their stride as an albums band, but once they did, there was no stopping them.
