In English the children began thinking about different parts of the story and started making observations of what they could see happening throughout the story. A story about a robot called Bernard, who goes to the park to play on the swing. While on his journey home he realises that he has lost his bottom. He begins an adventure to find his bottom and seeks help from friends who have seen items that are of similar shape and colour, but no, to his dissapointment they are not his bottom! They work as a team to continue to search. Bernard later spots a funny shaped sandcastle and discovers it's his bottom. No-Bot : The Robot’s New Bottom’ is a sequel to one of our best selling books ‘No-Bot the Robot with no bottom’. In it Bernard the robot has a rather awkward problem – his bottom is making a funny noise! In fact It looks like it’s going to explode!!! This book is aimed at key stage 1, personally i feel nursery or reception would enjoy this book. This story explains to children that friend's are there to help and to work as a team to solve problems. It explores different emotions as Bernard starts off happy on the swing, then later is crying when he struggles to find his bottom and finally to end with a happy ending of him finding his bottom.

When Bernard’s bottom starts to make funny noises, he decides it MUST be broken! So along with his friends, he sets off in search of just the right replacement. Children will love watching No-Bot try on all kinds of strange new bottoms, from a wheel of cheese to a large red sofa! Warubo V5" could possibly be derived from both "warui" ( Japanese: 悪い , bad) and "robo" ( Japanese: ロボ , robot). The "5" in his name might be alluding to the "555" theme that the Ghoulfather has in Japanese.

Look at the use of punctuation in the story. Can you choose one type of punctuation and explain why it has been used in that place? Many people say there is no bot - that it is connecting people together, live. The AI can seem human because it says things real people do say, but it is always software, imitating people. As a member of the Ghoulfamily, despite being supposed to be Nate and Hailey's enemy, he is very courteous with them, as he guides them in the Bada-Bing Tower and all the quest in the various floors in the tower, including his boss fight, seem to be more a test to measure their power than a try of destroying them. Also, he accompanies them to the top floor and he does not try anything to stop them.
