Balneum Plus Bath Oil contains two active ingredients, soya oil and lauromacrogols, that help to soothe skin and provide relief from itching. Combining soap with Balneum Plus Medicinal Bath Oil can remove your skin’s protective emollient layer leaving it more vulnerable to infections. The main ingredient is soya oil, an emollient (moisturiser) that soothes and softens dry skin by helping to replace lost oils.

If you are allergic to soya, peanut or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). Pour the appropriate amount of Balneum Plus Antipruritic Medicinal Bath Oil into the bath as the bath is filling. If you use the Balneum Plus Medicinal Bath Oil in the shower, then apply it evenly on the body without any water.Adults and children should bathe or shower with Balneum Plus Antipruritic Medicinal Bath Oil at least 3 times a week or as often as required. Also known as itchy skin, pruritus is common in older adults as skin tends to become drier with age and can be caused or worsened by dry skin. This bath oil is suitable to be used by anyone, including children and infants, who are suffering from the effects of dry skin, or any condition caused by eczema/dermatitis. It works by providing a layer of oil on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface.

Those who have psoriasis usually have periods with little to no symptoms, followed by periods when symptoms are more severe. Balneum Plus rapidly relieves symptoms associated with dry, itchy skin whilst also cleansing and helping to protect the skin against further drying. Soya oil which can be found in Balneum bath oils softens dry skin, whilst also cleansing and helping to protect against further drying out. This product is a medicine; make sure to speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before taking this product if you have an underlying medical problem or are taking any other medicine or complementary therapy. Avoid getting Balneum Plus in your eyes, however, if this should occur, rinse immediately with clean water.

There is an increased risk of slipping due to the oil film on the skin and the oil film in the bath or shower. Add the recommended dosage to lukewarm or warm water as your bath is still running, then mix properly. To do this, rinse the bath and equipment thoroughly with hot water and then clean with a household cleaner.

Balneum Plus Antipruritic Medicinal Bath Oil is suitable for adults (including pregnant women), children and babies of all ages.
