I love that the focus isn't just on what the footwear looks like, but what the people are doing as they go about their day in the city - bouncing, waiting for a bus, dancing, playing hopscotch, waiting in line, dragging as they get tired. I have been fairly successful at pitching on twitter, at least in terms of getting requests, but this is the first time a pitch has led to publication.Segments focus on stories, reading and writing skills, math, science, social studies, the arts, and social-emotional learning. There is only one place in the whole book where we see the whole baby and that is hidden under the back cover so take a peek!
