She is also the author of several mystery novels, including a novelization of the Prime Suspect series and a series featuring sleuth Lorraine Page. His Bob Lee Swagger series took the world by storm in the 90s, and he has a new collection of novellas this month featuring Bob Lee, Earl and Charles.

Due to the subject matter of this book it was not as fast paced as previous books as I don’t think investigations into bombing suspects and sleeper agents would ever be rushed and to depict that way would have not really made it feel believable.Last year she sent a couple of your books, this year a couple more, including WIDOWS REVENGE,but this is the second one in the series,so cannot read it yet I am now hooked on them, have you any idea where they are available here. Her debut novel, The Legacy, was published in 1987 and received both critical and best-seller success.

That being said, as the only female in some of these departments they often use her in situations she may not be fully prepared for with little or no training on how she should handle herself. The fast-paced follow up to Lynda La Plante’s first Prime Suspect thriller, Prime Suspect 2: A Face in the Crowd, reunites readers with Detective Chief Inspector Jane Tennison as she hunts down a mysterious killer hidden amidst London’s. Lynda's latest book, Tennison, was published on 24th September 2015 and is the prequel the highly acclaimed Prime Suspect. When the investigation uncovers an international drugs operation on the widow's property, the case grows even more complex. After leaving the Metropolitan Police Training Academy, 22 year-old Jane Tennison is placed on a probationary exercise in Hackney, London where criminality thrives. Once again, Tennison takes a key role in a major investigation – surely it’s time for her to start rising through the ranks?

Four women hold up an armed security wagon and make their escape to Rio, leaving the bulk of the cash hidden in London. When a photograph appears in the newspapers, showing Jane assisting the injured at the scene, it puts her and her family at risk from IRA retaliation.

Then, coming home late from a night shoot, Amanda puts the key in her front door for the very last time. Initially the focus is on identifying the victim, until another body is found hidden in the walls of the shelter.

In 1990 La Plante started working on her next television project, Prime Suspect, which was released by Granada Television in 1991.

After a high-octane and lively Book 1 (‘Tennison’) and a quieter, more typical police procedural Book 2 (‘Hidden Killers’), I wasn’t sure where we’d be headed next with Jane Tennison’s police career! To me she was the first feminist character I’d really noticed in a lead role in a prime time tv series and i was inspired by that. The great thing about these prequel novels is that we go back even further, to when a policewoman’s uniform included a matching handbag – useful for filling with stones and hitting criminals I guess.
