About this deal
As a result, the overall SDR picture performance is generally impressive, with images that appear well defined and colours that look natural. Changing the Picture Mode to 'Standard' and setting Active Contrast to 'High' results in a slightly brighter image, but it isn't as accurate. It has a fairly slow response time, so fast-moving objects are a bit blurry, but there isn't a ton of blur trail either. We aim to offer the best service possible to people in the trade or who are competent enough to repair their own products. The A6H also supports variable refresh rate technology, which helps improve the overall gaming experience by reducing visible tearing in some games.
Like some of their higher-end ULED models, it comes with Android TV built-in, a user-friendly platform with many apps you can download. It isn't bright enough to overcome glare in a bright living room and is best suited for a room with low levels of lighting. There’s also a decent selection of content streaming apps, plus Freeview Play, ensuring a full complement of TV catch-up services.
However, the models with VA panels have a BGR subpixel layout, which could negatively impact text clarity when using it as a PC monitor. The direct-lit VA panel delivers decent contrast and screen uniformity, despite the lack of local dimming, but its optimal viewing angles are narrow. This is purpose-built for your device with NO programming, setup or codes needed - that's a promise.
The color temperature is cool, giving everything a bluish tint, and some saturated colors are off too.
If you're making use of our recycling service, please disconnect (and defrost if necessary) the appliance before we arrive.
The TV ships in Standard mode for SDR, which like most out-of-the-box settings is woefully inaccurate compared to the industry standards. Hisense appears to be choosing different panels for different screen sizes, with the 50-inch model reviewed here using a VA panel. However, the 50, 60, 70, and 85-inch models have a worse viewing angle, so they aren't good for wide seating areas.
On the other hand, the Hisense can remove judder from native apps, but the Sony can only remove judder from external 24p sources. The wide viewing angle and decent reflection handling make it a decent choice for watching shows during the day, but it isn't bright enough to fight glare in a well-lit room.
