I loved this when I got it last year, but maybe now that I've tried many perfumes since, I don't seem to love it anymore. According to the bargain expert, ‘Suddenly Madame Glamour’, made by the discount supermarket, is “virtually indistinguishable” from the designer ‘Coco Mademoiselle’, suggesting it could be a Christmas gift option for those looking into saving.

The name "En Rose" is misleading, it being a dupe of LVEB, which doesn't have any rose in it; but Lidl is already known for its oddly named fragrances. In fact it was quite a bit weaker on her than on me, while the Coco Mlle was pretty tenacious on her skin. At some point, I was very frugal, the bottle was empty and I tried other beautiful perfumes after that. My conclusions are that while SMG does smell similar to CCM, there is a difference, most notable after dry-down when it becomes a little powdery.

Madame Glamour was the one I initially heard about, and it is clearly inspired by Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. You spray it in your sheets, in your hair, or on yourself coating your bedroom in soft, pretty flowers before snuggling in bed with your lover to let it die down to a warm, comfortable musk as you fall asleep. I've never felt compelled to scrub off a fragrance, using tissues and spit, in the middle of a supermarket before (it would be Lidl of course, rather than a supermarket that has a bathroom)- first time for everything I suppose!

It has a heat and a dryness unrelated to any aroma found in nature, sharp and chemical but not unpleasant.It smells a little similar to Mademoiselle but, IMO, it is more grown up, a little bit darker, and more refined. A lady who had just tried the tester before me mentioned that it was already giving her a migraine, so beware if perfumes can trigger that for you.
