Through that backdoor pilot, this group of misfit clone troopers got their own Disney+ series, with inevitable LEGO Star Wars tie-ins. There are two speeder bike builds included in the set, one is a BARC speeder bike, which is essentially a black/ dark stone grey recolour of the one seen in 75280 501st Clone Troopers pack (seen in bright blue/ medium stone blue. The huge speeder bikes feel like they detract from the potential of the shuttle, rather than adding to the overall set. His cybernetic arm is depicted with arm printing (the only minifig with arm printing in the set) and a gray hand, though a pirate hook might have worked better.

The series is set in the aftermath of the Clone Wars and follows a group of clone troopers with unique genetic mutations known as the Bad Batch. Considerable detail is present which is excellent, although problems from the previous BARC Speeder are retained here. Each member of the Bad Batch possesses unique talents and their specialised armours are designed to accentuate such abilities. I initially approached this part of the build with quite a bit of trepidation: I have a few difficulties perceiving firm differences between blues and greys, especially when working without a reference colour.However, in the finished version of the episode (and by extension, its other completed appearances), the nose art is no longer present. The fact that the 1×2 plate with Technic pinholes isn’t available in black makes them stand out even more.

We continue by adding a central core to the roof of the shuttle as well as some stickers over the engine outlets, and finally the cockpit itself. The printed control panel also looks appealing, while yellow headlight bricks seemingly depict further displays. Two tiered 10mm black high-gloss display base connected by magnets, containing embedded studs to place the set onto. In the unfinished version of " A Distant Echo", the vessel had nose art depicting Naboo senator Padmé Amidala in a provocative fashion with the subtitle "Good to be Bad". Even so, these minifigures include excellent detail and I am delighted that five Bad Batch members are included.The viewports themselves are of course transparent, though the interior lighting that shines through is indeed a soft red, similar to the red light used on submarines to maintain the crew’s night vision. It could have minifigures of Omega and —SPOILERS— and —SPOILERS— But seriously, the ship is maybe my favorite Star Wars vehicles to date. However, this droid should feature a lighter chassis colour, potentially approximating dark tan or medium nougat.
