And the big chase that forms the last part of the book is as adrenaline-fuelled and packed with ingenuity and heroics (and even explosions) as anyone could wish. I liked the character of Itch, as he was strange and invited the reader to wonder what on earth he would try to collect next. When he comes to Australian Intelligence awards him for his diligent service, members of Greencorp are arrested for trying to weaponize the rock, and the rock is made an element named Loftium.There is an additional character, Lucy, whose purpose isn't entirely clear till the end of the book but who also serves as a minor love interest for Itch. His solution: a pool party and a speech, but Chloe has other ideas on what must happen for him to be forgiven.

And what a charming and absorbing relationship it is; despite being the youngest, Chloe is the most sensible of the trio and keeps her likeable brother in check as his escapades teeter on the verge of disaster. He may have to rely on Tim's help though when Doctor Flowerdew decides to keep the rock and send it off for testing at a professional lab.

If that weren't enough Greencorp has sent the lady in black to stop them, but Roshanna may have something to say about that. Despite the start of the story being quite slow as characters were introduced, once the plot was underway the action began with Itch, Jack and a helpful Professor of Geography battling the evil Dr Flowerdew and Greencorps Power Company. Agents stand outside the classroom and, in case of serious danger, they lock down the house (and the neighbor's house, which they've taken over).
