I'm still reluctant to splurge on a bulky air conditioning unit that will run up my electricity bill, so I've had to get creative when it comes to finding solutions that will keep me cool and save money. The Tristar is light, stands knee-high and is easy to move around on its casters or with the built-in carry handle, making it a decent air cooler to keep in a cupboard, ready to wheel out when a heatwave strikes. Our house is cinder block with ceramic tile floors which is great in ten months of the year as it holds cold, but not the best in winter. A friend of mine posted this today, and I just had to share: “When it’s bitterly cold outside, I think of all the mosquitoes that are dying, and it makes me feel warm inside. Was missing 1 screw and one nut for my cooler and they sent me a full bag of screws, nuts, standoffs and thermal paste. Air is cooler and cleaner than normal oscillating fans due to the evaporative water filter drawing in warm air and giving out cool.
