Jin was actually fairly good at saving: He had been saving to purchase a few spiritual pills, after picking up so many extra chores. All the characters especially the farm spirit animals are interesting characters that develop as the story progresses with you developing feelings for them. But that's okay, because the clean, straightforward and well-written prose produced an enjoyable reading experience as the inital story developed. It is very well written and has that special quality that keeps you hooked on finding out what happens in the next chapter!

Dear old Jin was essentially a servant right now anyway, and had to do every task that the other people offloaded onto him, while harboring vengeance and hate and angst. Also, I think Travis Baldree's narration might not have been a good fit for this story, and may have negatively affected my experience with it. I expected Wattpad-level writing to dominate, but this RoyalRoad place actually has a sub-rating for grammar if you can believe it. I earnestly just wish to see where this novel will take us in the future and I pray you don't fall in a slump and vanish one day for one reason or another.In xianxia novels, this is where the protagonist would immediately identify the plant, spouting that it was some rare so and so root of six elixirs or something, but quite frankly, I had no fucking clue what it was. The MC is not some weak willed stupid feminist ideology twit that seems to be popular in a lot of books now days) +1 for Strong smart male character.

I shook myself out of my introspection and tuned to the pleased clucking sounds coming from my "kitchen. He was an orphan, after his gramps disappeared, who managed to join a sect through hard work, kind of. They move forward, and forward some more, with occasional new threats appearing that become mini-episodes in the larger tale.Le rêve de Jin se réalise : avec une ferme toujours plus impressionnante (peut-être un peu trop pour ses souhaits de discrétion) et des animaux qui s'éveillent à la sentience tous les 4 matins, Jin vit enfin sa vie de fermier tant attendue.
