Along with new recipes, this title expands the total number of different minigames and adds several new gameplay modes. The player can earn items through SpotPass to customize gameplay, and the game makes use of the 3DS features like Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic did. Cooking Mama challenges players to use the stylus as a master kitchen tool to cook 76 real world dishes ranging from pepperoni pizza to cabbage meat rolls. Don’t worry too much though, if you keep your eyes peeled, you can replenish your health by finding hearts in trees, in the grass, and plenty of other places too. The central game in Cooking Mama invites players to earn awards for their culinary skills, and recipes can be traded with up to four other wannabe cooks via Wi-Fi link-up.Each recipe requires players to play through a short, timed minigame for each ingredient or group of ingredients.
