About this deal

The Elephant Strength bottle takes inspiration from its naval origins with navy blue accents and an inviting map of the ocean, conjuring far-flung exploration and the spirit of adventure at the heart of the brand. The taste is complex but strikingly smooth, encompassing floral, fruity and spicy flavours, which can be enjoyed both straight or in a cocktail.

The gin’s distinct nose first yields a subtle juniper aroma, with an undertone of mountain pine and other herbaceous notes.

The label has a resemblance to a stamped postage stamp, from the double-sided printed label on the back shines through a map to the front.

As such we have invested in global protection and take action against every infringement of our rights. The design of Elephant Gin’s logo as a stamp is a nod to the letters sent home by the 19th century explorers of Africa, in which they described the botanical discoveries they made. The Elephant Gin botanicals are selected carefully, and sourced from all over the globe, including, of course, from Africa. In 2023, marking the 10th anniversary of the brand, Elephant Gin Distillery was opened in the small town of Wittenburg near Hamburg and is home to their Holstein Copper Pot stills as well as offering tours and tastings. Unsure what the future held, we decided to take action and make an impact to help protect the African elephant - even from afar. But it is not only the product in the loving packaging that makes the brand Elephant Gin simply likeable: With 15% of the proceeds Elephant Gin supports the Big Life Foundation as well as Space for Elephants and thus also does good for the protection of species of pachyderms in Africa. With every bottle sold, Elephant Gin contributes 15% of profits to elephant conservation charities including Big Life Foundation, while with each miniature bottle sold, 15% of profits is donated to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Whilst the Elephant London Dry Gin and Elephant Strength Gin share the same fourteen botanicals, including rare African ingredients, to create their distinctive flavour profiles, the latter uses twice the quantity of botanicals and has an ABV of 57%.

All of this combines to give Elephant Gin the romantic impression that it wouldn't look out of place on board the HMS Beagle. Each batch of Elephant Gin, comprised of just 800 bottles, is named after an elephant, living or dead, that was known personally to the conservationists. Our Elephant Gin sundowners bring like-minded people together - and 15% of bottle profits or 2% of revenue (whichever is higher) are donated to elephant conservation projects!

I suppose I thought great idea, great project to support and I like the bottle however, the gin has now become my favourite. The gin is powerful (think elephant-powerful), intense and full-bodied, with a fresh aroma and a higher viscosity than the original; superb in cocktails, it’s equally perfect for recreating the African bush Sundowner experience and for bold adventures across urban plains. Macerated in the gin for several months, these wild berries add a richly rounded, lightly sweet and exquisitely fruity bouquet as well as a typical warm red colour to the spirit.Having met the people who dedicate their life to conservation is something that made me realise that we have a responsibility for the generations to come. If you have joined us after the exclusive release you’ll receive your bottle within 2-5 working days. With each bottle of this herbal, fruity and spicy gin sold, Elephant Gin will donate 15% of their profits to elephant conservation charities which makes the gin taste even better.
