About this deal

I didn’t know what to expect as I’m very new to nerf modding, I was recommended this barrel and I don’t regret one thing.

The age range is appropriate though, these darts don't half sting when they hit, and 6 year olds as a rule simply don't have the ability to be safe or accurate. So I've recently purchased a Nerf Hyperfire and it inconsistently jams during fights with my friends. So, let’s pop some fresh batteries in, and see how it matches up to my favourite full-auto blaster, the RapidStrike. Thanks to a battery-powered motordrive and a 25-shot drum magazine, it can spit out up to five foam darts per second.

You'll notice there are various points around to attach a strap - you'd welcome it if you were planning to carry it for any length of time. I’m glad they ship it with a 25 short drum, as a blaster that can fire this fast needs all that and more…. Once that’s done and the batteries are in place, all you need to do is slap the magazine into the slot in the underside of the gun and you’re ready for rapid fire. The HyperFire’s muzzle velocity was pretty impressive, with an average just under 75 feet per second, which is a few FPS better than the N-STRIKE ELITE average.Once it is fired up you cannot help but notice how much quieter it is than the older flywheel blasters – my Stryfe almost deafened me when I fired it up after using the Hyperfire!

The Hyperfire has 20 screws in it's main body, the four in the conveyor belt do not need to be removed before disassembly. Released in late 2016, the NERF N-Strike Elite Hyperfire is a full-auto flywheel blaster, with some very cool, sci-fi styling. On the one hand, they last ages – I’ve had at least half a dozen lengthy NERF wars with my kids without needing to change them – but on the other hand, they’re not the type of batteries you just have lying around in a drawer. The blue plate must be removed first, meaning that the orange plate must be place back into the grey plate first. Posts which are commissioned by/in collaboration with brands, supported by brands, or reviews, will be labelled as such.

When the trigger is pulled, the motorized conveyor belt spins and passes the darts to the flywheels, which fling them out.
