Bree is the main female character best friend to Jessica and married to Rob, who just happens to be Eason’s best friend. It’s a gut punch to your emotions in the best of ways, taking the reader on a slow-burning journey that tugs on your every heartstring.

Rob and Bree also decide to bring expensive wine and Champagne to game night to toast the good news. Eason had a record deal that fell through, they’ve had to watch their pennies, but Eason has decided to make changes in his career to help ease their money issues. Eason thinks Bree is a judgmental ice queen, while Bree believes Eason is a musician who needs to let go of his dream and step up for his family. Bree and Eason have never particularly got along, but since Eason and Rob were best friends, and Jessica and Bree were best friends, they tolerated each other. This couple’s journey to happily ever after is hard fought and so very different than most, and I soaked up the subtle changes in their interactions.
