About this deal

Kennedy gave up everything once for the man she loved to chase his dreams, and now six years later, she's still picking up the pieces that he left in his wake. Then, there is the ending, the pyshcofantic love story making its soppy plop into a NOT earned, maddening “happily ever after” that forgets absolutely everything we already had established about Sarah, her world, her reasons for divorcing her first husband, and, well, essentially all forms of common sense.

In many ways he reminded me of the me I’d trained myself to be at work: solid, rational, untroubled by the shifting tides of the nonprofit sector—but I was someone who’d spent years practicing, whereas Eddie seemed, simply, to be that way.Ghosted provides a narrative in which the “ghosting” is eventually explained by the reveal of several long-kept secrets.

She also has this amazing ability to tie up endings in such a perfect way you're never left wanting (Well. Push/Pull: Yes They both push away at times (H in the past, and h after they broke up/the present), but I'd say the H is the main pursuer of the relationship. It would have been at least slightly more acceptable, if not believable, if Sarah hadn’t just emerged from her recent marriage (I’m talking weeks) without showing any human emotion whether that be rage or sadness.I LOVED it - like all the feels, all the heartache, all the pain, it just seeped into my soul as I got swept along so easily with gorgeous story of second chance love. A daughter that doesn’t know her father because honestly, he’s been a fuck up for a while, he’s lost himself in a world of drugs and alcohol and the heroine made the decision of raising her daughter alone. Not some weird ewe-related kink — spend seven days getting to know each others’ fucking souls, and then saunter off into the sunset.

With stars in his eyes, and her heart on her sleeve, the pair ran away together to follow their dreams. In brief: Sarah and Eddie meet in a small village and immediately go on to have the best week of their lives. Laughter and relief spilled into his voice, and I realized it must have taken some courage for him to start the conversation.I’m somewhat familiar with Ashworth’s work, as I read “A Kind of Intimacy” some years back and really enjoyed it; can’t think why I haven’t read another of her novels since then. By the grace of God — and, really, by the inhibition eliminating power of Grey Goose — I transformed a friend into a romantic partner and married his ass without every actually dating him — Yeah. Madison glances at her mother before leaning even closer, damn near right up on me, whisper-shouting, “Soda.

There are dark and alluring undercurrents to everything that Jenn Ashworth produces, and she has a brilliantly uncanny ability to unnerve at every turn.A man so comfortable in his own skin you could probably sink any secret, any truth into him, and he’d be able to hold it without sustaining structural damage. Looking back now, I’m even more grateful that I somehow took this exceptionally unorthodox path to matrimony as the whole process of dating seems to be so much fucking harder now than it was back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s when I was a dater. Walsh has created a deeply moving romance with an intriguing mystery and a touching portrait of grief at its heart. Oh my goodness, this beautiful book almost broke me; it’s so emotional and I struggled to hold in my tears at the end. Deliciously addictive, surprising and sentimental, Ghosted is a must-read for fans of Liane Moriarty and Jojo Moyes.
