After killing their "recruiters," one of the vampires, a woman named Reese, pled for mercy and was shown such as Moon Knight recognized them as victims. After a ransom attempt by some wanna be jigsaw knockoff he fights this guy and then we follow him confront a new enemy Zodiac and I love the whole reveal of how it happens, almost like the Joker to his Batman. The characters are unimpressive - I can name one supporting character’s name, Soldier (and, yes, he WAS a soldier - that’s how cerebral MacKay is! I don’t if it was because I was reading a ton of singles back then and was just missing stuff or not remembering story beats in everything but reading this all at once has changed my tune.
