Perhaps you are referring to the smaller 8 inch system that does not have navigation but we don't get in UK as that definitely has wireless AA and Carplay. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. That obviously isn’t the worst battery drain in the world, but it’s worth bearing in mind on longer trips. And it does that job incredibly well, to the point where you’ll struggle to tell that it’s a wireless connection during use.

From ignition on to AA launching is more or less the time it takes the multimedia system to boot up, so about the same as plugging in via a cable. The rest of the setup was pretty straightforward in that I had to pair with the MA1 via Bluetooth and run through the Android Auto setup to get the sequence working. I notice some reviews claim there's quite a drain on the phone battery, have you seen any evidence of that?My anticipated use is to avoid all the plugging in for the shorter journeys but always though I would charge on longer journeys. It shouldn't be using the screen, which is a big drain but there will be a lot of wireless communication going on.
