About this deal

The Vodafone Gigacube CAT19 or Huawei B818 is worthwhile for anyone who would like to have a particularly good LTE modem and would like to spend a little more. Even the Huawei B818 can provide high LTE and WLAN speeds for daily use, but probably only for the fewest users. Currently, a cheaper device such as the Vodafone Gigacube CAT6 (Huawei B528) is quite sufficient.

Tek kasnije sam pročitao ovu poruku na forumu (žao mi je što je na talijanskom) i zamislio sam da je problem u tome što nisam učitao novi webui 11.0.2.1 (W2SP5C7110) zajedno s firmwareom. My regular speed test type results float between 2 and 8Mbps down with 1-3Mbps up and latency generally between 50-80ms. Have you any idea what to do? I have attached a snippet of the system log so you can see the disconnect. The Vodafone 4G GigaCube isn’t one of the cheapest 4G home broadband options available, with the Three 4G Broadband for example being cheaper, but it is priced broadly in line with EE’s options, such as the EE Smart 4G Hub.The Huawei B818-260 LTE Router supports 4 × 4 MIMO antenna technology as well as carrier aggregation (channel bundling). The following LTE frequency bands are available: B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B28, B32, B38, B42. In the downlink, the maximum theoretical data rate could reach 1.6 GBit/s and up to 150 MBit/s in the uplink is possible. Huawei B818 is the world's first LTE Cat19 CPE powered by HiSilicon's latest chipset Balong 765 and which will be available for large-scale commercial deployment. Huawei B818 supports up to 8x8 MIMO in the downlink, CA, and 256QAM to achieve a maximum theoretical downlink rate of over 1 Gbit/s. With this Huawei B818 WiFi router, WTTx(Wireless to the x) networks can provide user experience equivalent to optical fiber networks. Huawei B818 LTE router is now available for network provider Vodafone and got a new name " Vodafone GigaCube Cat19"(Huawei B818-260). It has another name Huawei 4G Router 3 Prime with the model number B818-263, which looks like the predecessor Huawei B618 router. If you need more in depth instructions, here’s the step-by-step setup process for the GigaCube 4G. We’ve focused on this one as it’s the only model available at the time of writing, but again, the GigaCube 5G is set up in a very similar way. HUAWEI B818 sensationally meets the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises supporting use by up to 64 people via a Wi-Fi connection.

With that said, on with the review of the current GigaCube models. How does the Vodafone GigaCube work? The Huawei B818 is Huawei’s first stationary LTE router capable of achieving speeds well above 1 Gbps in the LTE network. The device is positioned as a successor to the Huawei B618 and offers not only a very similar design but also comparable good equipment. If you want 4G home broadband then there aren’t really any alternatives on Vodafone, but you can find other options from other networks, such as theThree 4G Broadband or the Three 4G Plus Hub.

While those allowances are substantial, it’s a shame that Vodafone isn’t offering unlimited data. It does so for phones, and yet home broadband is likely to use a lot more data than your smartphone. Because of this I am keen to look at routers with external antenna connectors with the obligatory antenna options, since the antenna side is not something I have looked at previously. Re the mr600, I did look at that, but when I started digging, it appeared that it's absolute max theoretical throughout at layer 1 is 300mb including x4 Mimo. So taking a sensible normalisation against vendor claims (-50%) would drop this down to 150mb as an optimistic goal assuming assuming masts support it, but then again factoring in that would be at 4x Mimo so 150/4 for real band throughout would be 37.5mb. please feel free to educate me if I'm off target here.

It's also worth being aware that confusingly Vodafone used to offer different devices under the GigaCube name, but in 2021 it refreshed them without changing the name.
