About this deal

As a side note, the tuberourse in this gives a true “I am a rich person smell” it’s very close to Heartless Helen by Penhaligons. If you enjoy that and want to save money I really suggest you try this.

SCENT: It is exactly as described, a juicy, fruity, floral scent. The juicy sweetness comes from the pear note and the aquatic scent comes from the lotus note. The combination of those top notes with the middle floral notes create a beautiful shower or shampoo scent that's perfect for anybody. I digress. Curious is a sweet, airy light scent. The scent of what I imagine a country club in Louisiana would smell like with lush southern magnolias, and vanilla florals. This is such a lovely and easy to wear fragrance to me. I’ve actually been thinking about adding it to my collection again because I miss it and have been thinking about it a lot. It then complete disappeared and I couldn’t smell anything. I thought maybe my bottle is old, because I had never had a perfume be completely gone after 15 minutes. Bitter disappointment… but wait for it… After 20 minutes it reappeared!

Terms and Conditions of return

Curiously (ha!), on most days jasmine is my sworn enemy as it gives me an instantaneous headache (but there are a handful of exceptions so I'm assuming it's the concentration of jasmine in a given product that determines whether I can tolerate it or not as opposed to the jasmine itself), but here despite the many different floral elements it never come across as overbearing, thanks to the heavy cloud of sweetness that sits on top. I'm not overly keen on white florals for the most part, but it's for that reason I'd really recommend this to people that would like to add a floral perfume to their rotation but like myself often find them overbearing or headache-inducing. The way Curious toes the line between Lots Of Floral and "Argh!! Too Much Floral!!" is masterfully done. I owned Fantasy in a bottle, and Curious in a rollerball. I loved sniffing Curious on my wrists alone at home. At the time it smelled so mature and forbidden, something for grown-ups that I was sneaking upon. It was a mischevious little pleasure, a snippet of the future I envisioned for myself as a grown woman. these terms and conditions in full. Britney continues to dominate the celebrity fragrance world (along with a few others like JLO and Paris Hilton). Her scents are always quality...and always last (with the exception of Island Fantasy which is weak as hell). Two thumbs up Britney. I'm sure that several women out there were teenagers when they bought this and still wear it today in their 20s, 30s and 40s. I remember really liking the bottle. No modern perfume I've seen has that flattened diamond shape, nor the atomiser and tassel. Nice bottle with cute marketing. Satisfyingly affordable, too. I don't know if it's been reformulated, or because I'm older, or due to the different city/climate I'm in - but this is MUCH better than it used to be. Sometimes, we don't appreciate scents that are commonly found and used by many, but we end up missing it when they become out of reach. I always wanted to own this scent, but for some reason I ended up procrastinating. Though this has been a go to scent for many women, it still is a gorgeous scent. Women buy this because it's gorgeous, not because it's common.verifyErrors }}{{ message }}{{ /verifyErrors }}{{ Hubby rating: 6/10 ("Generic florally smell. Wait! Soap! There's soap. Floral soap. Or...one of those 'summer breeze' soaps, you know? Anyway, it's kinda generic, but still quite nice.") LONGEVITY: In my hair, I could detect it 5-6 hours later, but it is faint. I don't mind reapplying as it is so inexpensive. After 3 hours- the pear note has worn away now, the fragrance is more lotus and tuberose dominated now but I really like it, sillage has decreased though, a little. UPDATE: I have used half of my 30 ml bottle and I don't know what to do..... It smells so beautiful and different... Should I buy another bottle? A 100 ml this time? I don't know what to do....

Due to my everlasting love of Britney's Believe, I finally decided to try another one of her scents, and so I blind bought a 100 ml bottle of this since it was so cheap, and seemed appealing. What caught my interest was the pear, and I wanted to add another floral perfume to my growing collection. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations and does not compare to my beloved Believe. These are different, but there is an overall similar vibe with dewy, floral-pear. Curious has a forward magnolia note, that's not present in 18 Sensual. 18 Sensual is closer to J'Adore Dior. Roughly equivalent performance. I have an old 10ml bottle of this which I believe only recently started going off after about a decade. However, spoiled or not, this is not the scent for me. It has a cloyingly sweet and artificial smell. It would be unwearable in hot weather because of this, but I wouldn't consider it a cold weather smell either. These issues may have intensified a bit because my bottle is old, but I don't believe the scent has changed too much over time. I find the scent itself to be really young but old-fashioned (it's like the early 2000s/y2k aesthetic in a bottle). The smell makes me think of barbies, toy makeup, and plastic both because of the vibe of the smell and because there's literally a strong artificial/plastic smell to it (not sure what it is). To be fair, it does dry down after 2 or so hours into a much more subtle jasmine-heavy scent on my skin which is ok, but I am not a big fan of prominent jasmine either, and it's not worth the top notes for me (which are all overwhelmingly prominent). Britney's name is attached to it and this came out in 2004 when not every celebrity had a fragrance line. Curious'' was the first celebrity perfume that I ever bought! It's a beautiful floral but it is not that light. It's a little bit heavy I might have been more drawn to this, except for that it was so ahead of its time in 2004, I'm weary of this profile. The canned pear, white florals and clean laundry musk composition is done to absolute death now in 2023, so much so that when I asked what this was and my sis said it was Curious, I was surprised that it wasn't something current.
