On the inside of the Citadel Water Pot, you’ll see textured ribs or grooves on the bottom and sides that I realized could be used to gently agitate the bristles of your brush as you rinse them. After using this water pot in a painting session, I am convinced it works. Is the Citadel Water Pot worth it? Absolutely. It has features that, however small they appear, are extremely useful, including the ribbed texture at the bottom of the pot and the tapered grooves running up the sides that draw your brush into a fine point. It’s a great water pot. No worries here though; see that wide-bottom. Low to no risk of small bump causing a tip-over. The Citadel Water Pot is the top of the list for a good reason! You can see a full review of the Citadel Water Pot (TL;DR – Amazing for miniature painting). The Citadel Water Pot is perfect for miniature painters. It holds a respectable amount of water and has an anti-tip over shape. The bottom of the pot is wider than the top, which makes this super stable. I know a lot of miniature painters and artists who continue to use household cups, mugs, and random dishware as brush rinse cups. They all work great. For the longest time, I used a fun ceramic mug that my old job gave as a parting gift (I resigned for a new position elsewhere). The Citadel Water Pot has made it easier for me to clean brushes with less effort and abuse to the actual brush itself. Other water pots, cups, and brush washers may have features built into their design, such as brush holders or ribbed texture to help gently you scrub your bristles like a laundry washboard. 3.
