Practicalities If there was ever a mower that was as practical as they come, this is it. I have touched on the dual lever handles that make operating this mower nothing short of a dream, but this is far from being the only feature that adds to the practical nature of this machine. The Flymo EasiMow 340R, the 300R and 380R, are fitted with a rear roller. As I mentioned earlier, this makes it a much more stable piece of equipment, but that’s not the main function of this part. The rear roller allows you to create a striped lawn so if you want a more traditional looking garden, you can do this with ease. The rear roller also makes the mower more stable particularly when cutting close or over the edge of flower beds. One of the downsides of this compact mower is that it does not have a mulching option. This is quite uncommon in the world of cordless lawn mowers as many of them allow users to take advantage of this feature. You have a choice of five cutting heights with the Flymo EasiMow 340R and these range between 20mm and 60mm. The 20mm minimum is great for people who like to keep their grass very short, but the higher end of the scale could be a little more generous, in my opinion, as some mowers go up to 75mm allowing them to cut longer grass. Comfort is key, which is why the EasiStore 340R is equipped with dual lever handles. And this also limits the 300R’s height choices to 3, with 20mm between each. Again giving you a choice of the same lowest and highest cutting heights from 20mm to 60mm. Cutting Diameter You can choose from three lifting-blade widths. The entry-level 300R has a 30-centimetre blade, meaning a cutting area of 0.28m² with each rotation. The 340R has a 34-centimetre blade, which gives the mower a 29% increase in cutting area than the 300R.

There is a safety button on the handlebar, which the operator needs to depress to release the throttle grips. The electric corded EasiStore models are supplied with a 10-metre power cable – this applies to all 300R, 340R, or 380R models. Even the larger 380R is lightweight, making it easier to navigate around a lawn. And a lighter mower means that you have more options over where you want to store it, such as on a shelf.
