About this deal

She was so perfect that she was given an imperfection (her front teeth) to act as a beauty mark to accentuate her perfectness! It was so over the top. I saw this because she never felt like a character to me, but was an idea that the Priest was chasing and everything she was was molded to his need for her to be that because story. Stephanie: The fourth book was my favorite and there is scene towards the end where you feel for certain the love between Soren and Nora. Theirs is a very unconventional love that I couldn’t live with but you feel it. Very taboo story but it hooked me in and now I can’t get enough. The Confession is going to be the closest we get to Soren’s thoughts since the author has said she’ll never do a story from his pov.

She was oblivious to my internal struggle. “I loved that they would become almost wild with the need to touch me, so wild that they would offer me astounding sums of money to come home with them, to leave the club and become their mistress. But I never accepted. Even though many of them were handsome, even though I wasn’t in a place where I could pretend money was no object. But something about it was antithetical to my very nature, and I couldn’t imagine accepting any of those offers. Isn’t that a ridiculous notion? A stripper insisting on preserving her virtue?”Linh: Priesthood has never been so sexy. It was a wonderful read. Can’t wait for the next book. Thanks for a great suggestion Maryse. Don’t think of it as being religious,” I advised. “I’m not here to convert you. Why don’t we just talk? And maybe there will be some activities or groups here that match what you need.” She didn’t seem to expect an answer and kept going. “The sad thing was that I was actually starved for sex while I was turning down all these offers. I’m sure you know the feeling, Father, like the slightest breeze is enough to send you over the edge, like your skin itself is combustible.” The thought came out of nowhere, unbidden but refusing to leave, whispering itself over and over again in my mind. Dirty, filthy girl. I nearly choked, my mind fracturing into twin minds—one determined to see this meeting through with grace and compassion and the other determined to let her know how hard she made me.

Jeanie V: Maryse, I just finished With The Father – wow, my head is spinning! I had to join the Facebook Discussion Group for this because I still can’t wrap my head around everything that happened – or didn’t. A priest and two sisters!!!! Eeeep!!!! …a total WTF!!! (see what I did there lol!). Can’t wait to hear what you think!! One potential criticism of this book is that it may not be for everyone. The explicit sexual content and controversial subject matter may be off-putting to some readers, particularly those who are deeply religious or have strong convictions about the sacredness of the priesthood. Priest” by Sierra Simone is an romance novel that tells the story of Tyler Bell, a young man who has always felt a calling to become a priest, and Poppy Danforth, a woman who becomes his confidante and love interest. The novel explores the taboo topic of a romantic relationship between a priest and a layperson and delves into the complex issues of faith, desire, and morality. There she is, our youngest, I could picture them saying to the family next to them. Graduated magna cum laude, you know, and only the best schools growing up. Spent the last three summers volunteering in Haiti. She was a shoo-in for dance at Juilliard, but of course she chose to pursue business instead, our level-headed girl.” But then Hot Priest arrives, someone who is genuinely interested in her. Someone who asks her question after question. Someone who challenges her in ways that she hasn’t been challenged for a long time. The audience has always been a sort of friend to Fleabag, someone who is “always there”. Someone who shares the thoughts with that, since the death of her mum and best friend, she has no one else to confide to. In season two, episode two, Fleabag admits to her therapist ( Fiona Shaw, Emmy nominated for this scene) that she uses the audience as her confidantes, a surrogate for actual friends.

I took a breath, pausing a moment, because it was impossible not to feel those twin dragons of rage and grief warring in my chest, heating my blood. I felt a fury so deep whenever I thought of that man that I honestly believed myself capable of murder, and no matter how many times I prayed for this hatred to be lifted from me, no matter how many times I forced myself to repeat I forgive you I forgive you as I pictured his face, it never truly went away, this anger. This pain. Maryse: LOL!! I can confirm that was Cristina!! 😉 I posted it below, as she’s clutching her grandmother’s rosary. 😂 And the book she’s talking about.

Hi,” she said as I indicated a chair next to me. I’d chosen the two upholstered chairs in the corner of the office, hating to talk to people from behind my desk like I was a middle school principal. And with Poppy, I wanted to be able to soothe her, touch her if I needed, show her a more personal church experience than the Ancient Booth of Death. God must have heard my unspoken prayer because her phone chimed then, a businesslike little tone, and she fished it out of her bag. “I’m so sorry,” she mouthed as she answered the call. Dartmouth. Marseille. Boarding school. I had sensed that Poppy was polished, had guessed from her mention of Newport that she had known privilege and wealth at some point in her life, but I could see now exactly how much privilege, how much wealth. I studied her face. There was a thriving confidence there, an old-fashioned bent toward etiquette and politeness, but there was also no pretentiousness, no elitism. She killed herself when she was nineteen,” I went on, as if Poppy’s touch had triggered a response to share that couldn’t be stopped. “She left a note, with the names of other children he’d hurt. We were able to stop him, and he was put on trial and sentenced to ten years in prison.” Third....this is hot, hot, hot! So not only is it well written, but the sex scenes are also well written and just ...well...hot, hot, hot!

He admires her. Sure there is physical attraction but he is also attracted to her mind and her strength. I think they both needed each other. She saw someone struggling with his priesthood and took advantage of that. Maybe that is what was meant to happen because it did help him to realize that he still had those human desires that were stronger than his faith or vows. I was so combustible, Father Bell. I would get wet watching the men stroking themselves through their custom-tailored trousers. In the private rooms, I’d pull my thong to the side and let them watch as I brought myself off. They liked that, they liked it when I teased myself and rubbed myself and rode my hand until I shuddered and sighed.” WE MADE A BIG FORBIDDENY PRIEST LIST!! Oooooooh what a guilty pleasure!!! These books have the steam, the pining, and all the keep-away aspects of a forbidden romance, but so forbidden because… how can that possibly happen… with a priest?!! Why did you like it?” I was asking merely out of a counselor’s curiosity, of course. “If you don’t mind me asking.”Leslie M: …if you like dirty books with priests I would recommend The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz. The first book is The Siren. This question is posed to Lady Bird, a high school senior (Four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan), by her teacher, Sister Sarah ( Lois Smith). The context of the love is not romantic love but the love of one’s hometown. Sister Sarah, after reading Lady Bird’s college application essay, notes that “You clearly love Sacramento”. Lady Bird, who has spent the movie talking about her dislike for California, and desire to move “to the East Coast, where culture is”, is confused by Sister Sarah’s observation: “I do?”. Leslie M: About the whole Original Sinners Series…I do not like heavy BDSM but that series really is amazing. Super taboo & addicting. Like Stephanie says, you do really see the love between Soren & Nora in 4th book…made me cry. Nora is such an interesting character, one of my fave heroines. I’m not typically a book pusher, but this series is a must read.
