About this deal

We made about 20 squishies and there is still a LOT of liquid left in the bottles. You could probably make between 80 and 100 squishies with this one kit, depending on how big the squishies are. How long do the foam liquids last?

Silicone molds are a must for making squishies! We recommend simple molds like donut pans, cupcake liners, or a cake slice mold. Even plastic cups work well as molds (when the foam rises out of the cup it looks like a cupcake!). The one you want expands to 15 times the original size, and it’s called Flex Foam-It! III. That’s a Roman numeral ‘ three‘ at the end. You don’t want number Flex Foam-It! 7 – or any other kind. If you don’t want to buy a Foam-It kit, here are a few other simple ways you can make squishies at home: There’s a bit of a learning curve when it comes to how much mixture to put into the silicone molds. Not enough, and the squishy won’t rise enough. Too much and the mold will overflow. It’s okay if your first pours aren’t perfect – just try again and you’ll figure out exactly how much to add!

How else can you decorate these cupcakes?

For teaspoon (tsp) and tablespoon (tbsp) measurements, please use measuring spoons* and not the type of spoons you eat with. Again this will ensure accuracy and provide the best results. We have plush toys for kids and more. Shop Squishmallows and all squishy toys to find your next fluffy friend. Be sure to read the safety instructions on the Foam-It kit! The manufacturer advises you to wear long sleeves, safety glasses, and rubber or vinyl gloves while handling the Foam-It liquids. Working in a room with good ventilation is also recommended. Yes. They make great toys for kids. Kids can squish them, play with them, or use them to create a world all their own! Can Squishmallows be Used as Pillows?

We made different batches of squishies over a week and each batch got progressively worse. The first donuts are still incredibly soft and squishable, while the later batches either collapsed or didn’t stay soft. You know those squishy toys that you can't help but squeeze? Squishmallows are here! Discover the whimsical shapes, sizes, and designs of these squeezable, squishy toys called Squishmallows today at Claire's.Puffy fabric paint adds such a fun shine and texture to the donut squishies! You can also apply thin layers of acrylic paint to the squishies, but it will be matte and won’t have any dimension to it. How else can I make squishies? Yes! For gluten free you can replace the self raising flour with a gluten free self raising flour blend. If you only have a gluten free plain flour blend, you will need to add baking powder. The general advice is to add 2 tsp baking powder per 200g flour, so for this recipe you'd need to add 1 + ¼ teaspoons baking powder. You may also like to add ¼ tsp Xanthan Gum for better texture. For a dairy free version, use a dairy free baking spread and dairy free milk for the cupcakes and the buttercream. Do you need an electric mixer to make this recipe? Self raising flour, which is very commonly used in the UK where I am based, already contains a raising agent and a little salt too. Therefore if you want to swap it for plain or all purpose flour, you will need to add some additional baking powder and also a little salt if you like. Some people like to add salt to cake recipes and some don't, so I'll leave that up to you as it won't affect the bake. The general advice is to add 2 teaspoons baking powder (a measuring teaspoon, not the kind you stir your coffee with) per every 200g plain or all purpose flour. So for this recipe you'd need to add 1 + ¼ teaspoons baking powder. Please note, I have not tested this recipe using plain or all purpose flour. Can the cupcakes be made gluten or dairy free?
