Knot orange JPM (SV93234) was ringed at Nigg (Highland) on 11 February 2021 and sighted in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 15 March, 13 April, 29 April & 22 May 2021, after 3 months 1 week.

Mosset Burn will usually hold wildfowl in winter such as Teal, Wigeon and Mallard. The grassy areas either side will often have large numbers of feeding geese in spring. The southern end of the bay also holds the main overnight roost for Pink-footed Geese during the winter. Herring Gull yellow 152 (GV31821) was ringed at Harewood Whin (York) on 26 February 2016 and sighted at the Ugie estuary (Aberdeenshire) on 28 October 2016, and sighted again on the Lossie estuary (NJ2470) on 13 May 2017, after 1 year 2 months.Pink-footed Goose ISR02236 (orange collar VVS) was ringed at Jokuldalsheidi (ICELAND) on 24 July 2017 and sighted at Clochan (NJ4061) on 12 December 2017, after 4 months 3 weeks.

Shag white HHT was ringed on the Isle of May (Fife NT6599) on 18 July 2018 and sighted at Findhorn Bay (NJ0364) on 21 November 2018, after 4 months.Knot N8NGPG was ringed at Griend (NETHERLANDS) on 22 September 2017 and sighted in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 8 January 2018, at Griend (NETHERLANDS) on 23 July 2018 and 15 September 2019, and again in Findhorn Bay on 22 January 2022, after 4 years 4 months. Brent Goose C4RY was ringed at Baldoyle (Co. Dublin IRELAND) on 11 February 2010 and sighted on the Lossie estuary (NJ2470) on 18 September 2015 after 5 years 7 months. Sandwich Tern blue 6T8 (1594228) was ringed at Texel (NETHERLANDS) on 23 June 2018 and sighted at Swakopmund (NAMIBIA) on 5 November 2019 and on Findhorn beach (NJ0364) on 7 August 2020, after 2 years 1 month. Knot orange JXA (SR75601) was ringed at Nigg (Highland) on 11 February 2021 and sighted in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 6 March 2021, after 3 weeks 2 days.

Sandwich Tern red UBF (DD76888) was ringed as a nestling on Inner Farne (Northumberland NU2235) on 12 July 2013 and sighted at Mile 4 Salt Works, Swakopmund (NAMIBIA) on 26 February 2016, at Coquet Island (Northumberland NU2904) on 11 August 2016, at Mile 4 Salt Works, Swakopmund (NAMIBIA) on 8 December 2016, at Coquet Island in April/May 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, on Findhorn beach (NJ0364) on 8 August 2020 and 11 August 2021 and at Carnoustie (Angus NO5734) on 18 August 2021, after 8 years 1 month. Knot orange EVT (SR23803) was ringed at Ainsdale (Merseyside) on 27 July 2020 and sighted in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 23 November 2020, after 3 months 3 weeks. Sandwich Tern NR5 was ringed near Stellendam, Zuid-Holland (NETHERLANDS) on 8 June 2013 and sighted at Findhorn on 21 August 2013.Whooper Swan A10191 (yellow TAL) was ringed at Brusatjorn (ICELAND) on 12 June 2020 and sighted at Wester Calcots (NJ2464) on 10 April 2021, after 9 months 3 weeks. Knot orange JHJ (ST93181) was ringed at Ardersier (Highland) on 21 December 2021 and sighted at Richel, Friesland (NETHERLANDS) on 15 October 2022, at Burghead (NJ1169) on 26 January 2023 and in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 21 February 2023, after 1 year 2 months. Knot 15K was ringed at Straumfjordur (ICELAND) on 22 May 2017 and sighted at Formby Point (Merseyside) on 26 June & 18 July 2017, and in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 8 & 18 January 2018, after 8 months.

Sandwich Tern white M9C was caught at Donana National Park, Huelva (SPAIN) on 30 October 2019 and sighted on Findhorn beach (NJ0364) on 21 September 2020, after 10 months 3 weeks.
