About this deal

It is more common for the signature stamp of Xavier Roberts to appear on the left cheek of a doll. However, it appears upside down on the right cheek in some instances. The condition of the doll, the rarity, the skin and hair color, whether or not the original accessories are included as well as the birth certificate and box all determine how much someone may be willing to pay come auction. Furthermore, each cabbage patch doll box also contained a “birth certificate” containing the kids’ first and middle names, making the dolls as personal as the children who wanted to adopt them. Vintage Cabbage Patch Dolls

Cabbage Patch Dolls were produced in their millions. There were two categories that were produced; the ones that were specialty or handmade. These ones are more valuable because there weren’t many of them. If you love quirky dolls, you’ll surely flip over this big-nosed girl from Cabbage Kids. Unlike others, this one has a big, round pokey nose and painted purple eyes. Also, it’s more premium and comes with original heart-shaped tags and engraved dates! Getting a 10 inches toy for your child can be a challenge, but Ruby Fox Cute Doll is a great size for them to manage. This doll features a soft body, making it easy and pleasant to cuddle with. For its body, the Petunia doll uses soft materials that kids enjoy. The doll can snuggle up to it because it feels cuddly. Their use of plastic materials in the design of the head was also impressive.

Japanese Edition Cabbage Patch Doll (1983) – $2,800

The rare Cabbage Patch dolls would obviously be larger and more ornamented than the rest! But is this all? Definitely not! Here are some special features that you’ll see only in rare dolls:

Cabbage Patch Dolls were alleged to be unique. Each one looked different due to the different shapes of their heads, eyes, hairstyles, and clothing. But by the end of the first decade of their existence 65 million kids have been sold around the world. The place where they are supposedly born, Babyland General Hospital still exists. It was originally located in Cleveland. In 2010 the hospital moved to the North Georgia mountains. It now sits on 650 acres of land.

80s Doll in 90s Outfit (1983) – $575

The Cabbage Patch Kid is by no means the most valuable collector’s doll to date, although it was their cuddly and soft nature that set them apart from other big brand dolls during their initial production. The original dolls had woolen hair, plush bodies, and somewhat chubby fingers. Xavier Robert’s who was the designer and craftsman of these dolls stitched them in a similar way to how his mother would make quilts. While the Cabbage Patch Kid may sound like ‘just another doll’, what added to their popularity was the fact that each doll came with their own adoption papers, the dolls were soft, meaning they could be taken to bed just like a fluffy animal and they were somewhat ugly but in a cute way. The legend (story) behind how the dolls had came to be also made it feel as though the adoption process was real for many little girls who had been gifted a Cabbage Patch Kid. In the earlier years of production, the company also stated that no two dolls were identical. This meant every child in the street had their own unique doll. Recognizing a Cabbage Patch Kid Robert called his own creation The Little People. They were actually modified versions of Martha Nelson’s dolls. The dolls also came with birth certificates, adoption papers, exactly like Martha Nelson did hers too.

Unlike some of the other big brand toys produced during the 80s and the 90s, Cabbage Patch Kids were often well marked with their year of manufacture. In some limited edition makes of the Cabbage Patch Doll, porcelain or an all-vinyl body can be noted. I was watching the History channel on 12/5/22 and Xavier Robert’s is NOT the person who created the Cabbage Patch fool, it was Margaret Nelson who created the doll. She hand made these dolls and Xavier Roberts was helping her sell the dolls she worked hard to make a s sold. Xavier Roberts from what I saw on the History Channel he took her creations and made it his own and profit from it. He didn’t even give her credit for all of the hard work or all of her ideas for the doll. She did take him to court, but unfortunately and sadly she died. Xavier Roberts can at least do the right thing and give Ms. Nelson’s family a yearly profit from what he made off of what he was making from her ideal of dolls that she created, that is the least Xavier Roberts can do. If it was not for Ms. Nelson, Roberts would have the money he has today. Xavier Roberts needs to face it, this was NOT his ideal at all, to me he needs to be a man and do the right thing. I know that anything with his name on it A birth certificate and adoption papers increase the value of a doll. The figure’s condition will ultimately determine its value, as one is unlikely to find one in a box. 11. Little People Tilly KayYes, the kids are still being made. The cabbage patch kids became icons. They went from being friends to real babies to gracing stamps, they went to space, they became mascots in games. Today they are vintage and sought after by collectors. Some of them have been sold at really high prices. Moreover, the toys have soft bodies. With this feature, your child can cuddle up to the doll easily. As well as using plastic materials, they were able to add more detail to the head. For those of you who did not grow up in the time of Cabbage Patch Kids, you may have not even heard of them prior to stumbling upon this article. While dolls such as Barbies are recognized globally, what saw the Cabbage Patch Kid stand out against other dolls was their cuddly nature. While the Baby Alive Doll produced around the same time had many interactive features, the simplicity of the Cabbage Patch Kids (CPK) was what little girls during this period were seeking. The Vintage Cabbage Patch Doll comes with a variety of removable accessories, shoes, and dresses. By doing this, kids can customize their dolls to their liking and have a lot of fun in the process. Your child will be able to play more imaginatively when using this technique. Cabbage Patch Kids that are deemed as ‘vintage’ being produced prior to 1990, are far more valuable than those produced in more recent years. Little People Dolls that are Worth a Small Fortune Barry Fritz Collectible Doll’s Auction Price

The Cabbage Patch Popcorn Girl is a rare Christmas doll for all theme-based collectors. It has yellow hair, hats, and flowery dresses to uplift the festive spirit. All of which have a fundamental role to play in its success. A Cabbage Patch Doll like this is a valuable vintage and rare item. 14. Hand Signed Little People TwinsIt is interesting that even though cabbage patch kids had a little murk in the middle of their history, they remain favorite dolls for both parents and kids. The whole of America voted for the dolls to be featured as mascots for the US Olympic team in Barcelona and Atlanta in 1992 and 1996 respectively. There was a lot of love given to the soft body of the Shelby Blue Eyed Sheep doll. Children can snuggle up with it and get cozy because it is soft and comfortable. However, the head of the doll is made of plastic. The earlier the manufacture date of the doll, the more valuable it is. Dolls that were produced in the early 80s are more valuable than the ones that were made in the late and early 90s. Number Of The Doll Listed On The Market
