About this deal

The EasiStore range does not have a mulching blade, and neither does it have a mulching plug. Mulching is good if you worry about binning the grass clippings, or local town management has made it costly to do so. If you are looking for a mower that mulches, please see my link of best Mulching Mowers below – LINK HERE TO MULCHING MOWERS.

The 300R has a smaller 30 litre collection box and the larger 380R has a larger 45 litre grass collection box, should you prefer one of these other options. A surprising fact is that there is little difference in weight between the 300R and the 340R models. For more information on all the differences between these models see my comparison table below. Blades For more than 55 years, Flymo has been an established iconic sight in UK gardens. It has consistently held high market shares in the UK, at its peak taking more than 50% share of the UK lawn mower market. What really stood out for me was the long power cable. A lot of people are put off the idea of buying a corded mower because they worry that it’ll limit their reach. Short of using an extension cable, a lot of mowers won’t get to every corner of your garden. However, since the Flymo EasiMow 340R is fitted with a standard 10 metre power cable you’ll be able to reach more of your garden. And the 380R has a 38-centimetre blade, with a cutting area of 0.45m² that is 60% greater than that of the 300R. This improvement in the cutting area is more efficient for power consumption, and you are going to be cutting more grass with each step taken.

The large and non-compressible grass box’s design means that you can store it on the rear — using the mower as a stand.

Everything fitted together nice and easy. When it comes to the handles, they simply screw together with a twist cap, so there’s no need to use a screwdriver or any other tools. On the left side, the caps were different from the right. This makes it possible to wrap the cable around the left-hand side after use, which is a handy feature. Though the EasiStore is simple, there are some clever additions to make this mower more compact than other machines of a similar size. Flymo EasiStore mowers use modern brushless motors. Brushless are considered to be more efficient than the classic design of a brush motor. Brushless motors also tend to be less prone to burnout or fatigue. The larger the model, the taller the handle, with the 380R being the tallest at 1-metre. Higher handles will make mowers easier to push, as will a wider wheel diameter. And both the 380R and 340R have 16cm rear wheels — in comparison the 300R has 14cm rear wheels.Just bear in mind that this mower is lightweight, so therefore the stripes will not be as defined and long lasting as those produced from heavier petrol or cordless mowers. Mulching Flymo likes to come out with mowers that have that one feature you have always sought after. The roller is the most important feature on this machine, and even the entry-level model, the 300R has one. For the price, it is one of the least expensive electric mowers with a roller that you can find currently on the market. The EasiStore 300R offers innovative features that makes storage and transport a breeze. Its space-saving vertical storage capability ensures that even the most compact spaces can accommodate this versatile lawnmower. Additionally, the unique transport position allows for easy manoeuvrability and effortless transportation to and from the lawn.

If you don’t want to mess around when cutting your lawn, then I would absolutely recommend giving the Flymo EasiMow 340R a try. Its convenience at its best, but doesn’t scrimp on features that allow you to create a neat and professional looking finish to your lawn. Since inventing the hover mower more than 50 years ago, Flymo has become a market leader in effective and affordable garden care products. Its range now encompasses everything from grass trimmers to robotic lawn mowers. With constant design and technological innovations being at the heart of Flymo, the brand is continually revolutionising its range. Some safety features, which prevent accidental starting by an operator or a child, need interaction, to deactivate them. But the EasiStore also has many passive features that make operating this mower that much safer for all. The weight of the machine makes it more manageable for less-firm individuals. And the roller adds to the stability when using the EasiStore. And the fact that the EasiStore is its own storage unit means that there is no need to lift it off the ground to reduce the amount of storage space it takes up. With the Flymo EasiMow 340R, you get a 35 litre grass box. That’s just about spot on for a mower of this size so no complaints there. This is a plastic grass box though so do keep in mind that it might be harder to store than a fabric one.You have a choice of five cutting heights with the Flymo EasiMow 340R and these range between 20mm and 60mm. The 20mm minimum is great for people who like to keep their grass very short, but the higher end of the scale could be a little more generous, in my opinion, as some mowers go up to 75mm allowing them to cut longer grass. In the 1980s Flymo gained the Queen's Award for Technological Achievement as well as receiving royal recognition for its ability to export - taking its lawn mower to more than 60 countries worldwide. Heavy investment and research has seen Flymo introduce an automation programme, making it the first company in Britain to fully assemble and test its products using robots. Recent Developments You can wrap the excess power cable around the cable hanger to prevent twisting or getting caught up in the blade if you happen to run over it.
