About this deal

Inspired by the wizarding sport featured in the original series of Harry Potter novels and their movie adaptations, Catch the Snitch is a two-player board game that looks to recreate a Hogwarts quidditch match. The sport has two teams of players on flying brooms attempting to score the most points by throwing a ball - called a quaffle - through the enemy team’s goal hoops. Should one of the team’s seeker players catch the snitch, a small winged golden ball, that team is awarded 120 points and the game ends. Whichever team has the most points by the end is named the winner.

Harry soared above the crowd, an odd ringing in his ears. The tiny golden ball was held tight in his fist, beating its wings hopelessly against his fingers. Harry heard a snort from behind him and turned around, still holding the Snitch tightly in his hand: Draco Malfoy had landed close by. White-faced with fury, he was still managing to sneer.

span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope>Erin G fromWith a splattering thud he hit the mud and rolled off his broom. His arm was hanging at a very strange angle; riddled with pain, he heard, as though from a distance, a good deal of whistling and shouting. He focused on the Snitch clutched in his good hand. Quidditch makes use of three balls – the Quaffle, which is used by the chasers to score goals by throwing them through the opponent team’s hoops, which fetches the team 10 points. The second ball, called the Bludger is used by the beaters of the team to aim at the players of the opponent teams to distract and impede during the match. The Snitch as described above carries 150 points and is used to end the match when caught by the seeker of one of the playing teams. span itemprop="name">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the fast pace nature of this game. There was different components to the game which kept it interesting. My kids thought it was fun too!
