About this deal
Another male example: Watari from Descendants of Darkness. Maybe this trope shouldn't be Always Female anymore? Dr. Sasha Tarasov from Wynonna Earp: The Yeti Wars. A hot evil scientist sure, but hot nonetheless. You could trade experience, but at some point it falls flat. Take a woman who has been molested by her boss and who is afraid of making waves, because being labeled as a troublemaker will adversely affect her future career choices. She believes that the sort of objectification we are talking about is pretty shitty - mainly because, as was the case with her boss, permission to do so wasn't given by those involved. Contrast that with a woman who has never experienced any serious gender related problems, who doesn't see what the problem is. Ditto for Grace O'Connor from Macross Frontier, who too manages to combine a Hot Scientist with a Mad Scientist into a visually pleasing, but not in a little bit pleasant character. Though it does much to making her a Magnificent Bitch.
Jotaro Kujo of ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'' is shown to be no less [[DistractedByTheSexy distracting to women]] as a [=PhD=] marine biologist than he was as a TroubledButCute teenage delinquent.

In addition to the VideoGame examples below, ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'' has Professor Ivy. [[WalkingSwimsuitScene She's even introduced wearing a swimsuit to boot!]] What I do think is harmful, is making the baseline assumption that all feelings/experiences are equally valid. That the opinion of a woman who has never really experienced problems due to objectification are due equal consideration of the opinion of women who have. Or that we should pay the least attention to women who believe that a woman's place is barefoot and pregnant - in the kitchen.
ComicBook/TankVixens'' has Dr. Duffelbunny, the bubble-headed "scientist" who prefers to practice her physics in lingerie than in a lab. Creator/DianeDuane deliberately played with this, noting in the blurb for her ''Franchise/StarTrekExpandedUniverse'' novel ''Literature/TheWoundedSky'' that the ''Enterprise'' crew are assisted by "a pretty alien scientist". What she conspicuously ''failed'' to note was that K't'lk, while indeed quite lovely, is also [[spoiler:a ''giant glass spider'']].

The Doctor's companion Romana, despite technically being a psychologist and/or historian, fits this trope reasonably well, and her attractiveness is confirmed by K9 and later by the Doctor himself. Capcom's Rival Schools fighting game series had a combination school nurse/science teacher Kyoko Minazuki. Bonus points because she believes that Nerds Are Sexy. In the future, the world’s oil supply has finally been exhausted, causing a massive energy crisis. In a search for alternative sources of energy, a scientist invents a machine that can harness the energy expended during sexual intercourse and transfer it into electrical power.
