About this deal

Comically Small Bribe: Thanks to the Princess's strict upbringing, she's tempted by even the simplest pleasures, like takoyaki or video games. Kaito is a 17-year-old boy who grew up in Japan, living a life of abuse at the hands of his father. After one day being strangled to death by his father, he is summoned to another world by Elisabeth Le Fanu, the Torture Princess. She offers him two choices, either serving her as a butler or death. Having experienced a life of cruelty, Kaito initially chooses death only to change his decision after realizing that his death would be slow and excruciatingly painful. Kaito learns that Elisabeth is tasked by a mysterious organization known as the Church to dispose of fourteen demons and their contractors, and once Elisabeth has finished this task she herself will be put to death by the Church for her crimes. [2] Moments later, he awakens in a golem body crafted by that same girl: Elisabeth Le Fanu, the "Torture Princess". Initially summoned to serve as her butler (at which job he proves to be terrible), he starts to impress her with his cleverness and adaptability, ultimately becoming her trusted assistant and confidant. Granted, calling the demons in this story "evil" is a major stretch, but every time Mao-Mao has tried her hand at "torturing" the Princess, she's completely failed to get anything out of her due to being too harmless, not even damaging in the emotional sense. The only reason she managed to get anything out of the Princess at all was because of how endearingly cute she is.

Spotting the Thread: He approaches Kaito and Elisabeth wearing the guise of his contractor, and offers to take Kaito under his protection. Kaito sees through it, recognizing the look in his eyes as similar to men he knew in his previous life who would pass up a warm meal to beat up a kid. For her part, Elisabeth takes issue with him claiming to be a survivor of the Plain of Skewers, on the grounds that she's pretty certain she didn't leave any. Chapter 171 involves another McDonalds parody, the Mark Dragon Hamburger fast food restaurant, a.k.a. "Mark-D's", which uses a traditional capital "M" for its symbol.

Evil Overlord: The Hell-Lord, who is the king of the demons. That said, the "evil" part is nearly nonexistent. He's an honorable guy who loves his daughter very much and regularly hosts fun events for his people. According to the characters, the Hell-horde army also has rules to ensure the members' well-being. Even the Princess, ostensibly a prisoner of war, is treated incredibly well. Even his "tortures" and imprisonment of her are only so that it will be easier to make peace with the humans. shallmのOP聴ける30秒CMが公開. Comic Natalie (in Japanese). Natasha, Inc. November 28, 2023 . Retrieved November 28, 2023. Sorting Algorithm of Evil: Parodied in chapter 49, where each new enemy/group of enemies the Hell-Lord encounters is said to have a much higher power level than the last (their "dark power level" jumps from 15 to 100 to 5000 to 980,000), and he still manages to wipe the floor with the lot of them in under two hours. BFS: While she mainly fights with summoned chains, spikes, and torture and execution implements, Elisabeth can also summon the Executioner's Sword of Frankenthal, a blunt-tipped zweihander with the words of her geas emblazoned on it. The seventeen years and three months of Kaito Sena's life have not been pleasant. Abandoned by his mother, savagely beaten by his criminal father, it finally ends with his father choking the life out of him in a drugged rage.

Byronic Hero: Gender-Inverted and verging on Villain Protagonist. She's a deeply intelligent, charismatic, cynical and indomitable young woman of otherworldly beauty. She also has a girly streak that crops up every once in a while. As originally Elisabeth is a torture maniac from the Inquisitions, she contains execution tools. After being given a new life Elisabeth has possession of abnormal regeneration and strength that is equal to a high Demon or high Angel race. As a part of his ability to have space of reality in the vault [Treasury], opening a " Medieval door" between dimensions that allows for the contents to pass through upon their owner's command, she can able summon items directly into his hand. Never Bareheaded: She rarely appears without something on the top of her head. It's typically a Cool Crown that reminds us she's royalty, but she's worn other things as well. Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: He manages to surprise Elizabeth with a lance through the gut (changed to a sword in the manga). It's the first and only hit he manages to land on her. The "torture" for Chapter 32 involves french fries and a chocolate pie from Ryoutsunalds (a parody of McDonalds combined with the name of the MC from Kochikame, Kankichi Ryoutsu) with the "torture" itself involving biting a hole into the pie and dipping the fries into the chocolate.Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: For all her moronic moments we're shown, the Princess is a genuinely badass swordswoman. This is shown in the "Beach Swordfight" chapter, where she effortlessly defeats her opponents. Yeah, even the demons themselves forgot that she's this strong. Of course, she ends up having so much fun she completely forgot to escape. Chapter 86 also shows that she's practically unmatched in unarmed combat, utterly crushing the martial arts competition with a few dodges and well-placed blows supplemented by incredible speed and reflexes. She's still a moron, though, as she cheated her math tests in the past, resulting in her flunking the second math-based round. Depending on the Artist: Odd, given there's only one artist, but how old Vanilla looks varies wildly between chapters, from "as old as the Princess (however old that is)" in her earliest appearances to "barely older than Mao-Mao-chan" in Chapter 91. When the Hell-Lord gets a secret about hidden locations in the human kingdom, he tries to get Dark Ninja Nin-nin Gekkou to provide his services. However, when he hears that Gekkou wishes to quit the Hellhorde to pursue his dreams of being a picture-book author, with him having doubts that quitting and doing so at his age would work out, the Hell-Lord encourages him to try anyway and lets him go. It does ultimately work out, with Gekkou winning a new writer's prize for his picture book.

Burn the Witch!: One of Elizabeth's execution devices is a conjured burning stake, which she uses against Vlad. She herself is also sentenced to die this way, but Kaito interrupts her execution at the end of volume 3. Death Seeker: In public, Elizabeth openly and proudly welcomes her death sentence, even telling a priest praying for her at her execution pyre to can it, feeling it is the right of the people of the world to demand vengeance for all the innocents she slew. In private, she just wants her hellish life to finally end. Chapter 96 has the Princess brag to Ex that if she gives in to the day's torture, she'll grovel before Gilga to have her sharpen and polish Ex, then sleep on her knees that night. Cut to her doing exactly that.Chapter 154 involves Soda-Soda, a carbonated beverage with weird seasonal flavors. The bottle very closely resembles Mountain Dew. Chapter 158 has Vanilla advise Sakura on how to go about doing her own kind of "torture" while they're both off work. Platonic Life-Partners: Played with and kind of muddled. Initially starts off very business like, growing into platonic as the story moves forward though Kaito is more obviously very much attracted to her, though it's complicated by both his status as her Servant, half assed protégé, later half assed enemy, later savior. It even culminates in not just a date during the invasion of the capital, shows itself a pang of brief but intense jealousy when Kaito and Hina consummate their marriage via their blood connection, to Kaito outright declaring his love for Elisabeth at the climax of Volume 5 before freeing her. In short, the 2 have a VERY complex relationship that is NOT purely platonic and goes right past romantic love. It's not exactly familial either. For Elisabeth, Kaito is both her first real, true companion and first love... ever. For Kaito, Elisabeth is both his Hero, object of eternal gratitude, family, and kindred hurt spirit. The 2 are just that close. Even Hina wouldn't object since she's Kaito's bride and he's Elisabeth's servant, but she loves them both near equally.... it's almost kind of a given that instead of 'platonic life partners' you'd get a genuine 'One True Threeseome' with how deep the feelings run here, and they very much do. Kaito and Elisabeth do NOT have a simple relationship dynamic, like at all
