If you’re using the multiport adapter, you can also connect your device’s charging cable to the adapter’s USB-C port. If you’re using the DeX cable, you can keep your device charged by placing it on a wireless charger while you’re using DeX. The other option for wired DeX on PC is a regular USB-C to USB-A charging cable. You likely already have one for charging your device. Just detach the USB cable from the wall charger and connect it to the USB port on your PC or Mac. Not every Samsung device can use Samsung DeX mode, and it’s pretty much restricted to Samsung’s flagship ranges only — which doesn’t include the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite, for some reason. This version of DeX was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 rangebut has been ported to the Galaxy S10range and can also now be found on the Galaxy S20 range and the new Galaxy Note 20 range. Samsung and VMware recently announced the addition of second screen supportfor virtualized Windows PC desktop environments running in DeX.
