But first, folks here seem to be rather fixated on the video settings and how they're incompatible with TVs, but I never had any problems just using the default settings to my existing RetroPie card and plugging it in as-is in the GameHAT. The only setting I see that changes when when I swap between displays when I do file diffs is that Kodi's video setting oscillates between presumably optimal values:
