About this deal

There are many great heroes of the Indomitus Crusade, but not all of them received the recognition they deserve. Until now, that is. Until you are in position blast away your enemies with the Leadebelcher/s especially if you have a Quad available for Thunderous Blast of Hot Metal. Howling Vortex(Triple, Briar Queen):a chance to damage and reduce movement to an enemy within range. Hakor is a Mortek Guard with Soulcleaver Greatblade and, pending the FAQ, is in all aspects better: same profile, same cost, 2 wounds more and access to the same Form Shieldwall ability usually reserved to Mortek Guard with Shields. Her sister Zarshia, has a similar profile to a Chaos Sorcerer Lord, with slightly less ranged damage (3/5) but not his ability (as she is not a leader). In exchange she can damage an opponent 9″ away with the risk of damaging herself (1 damage to the enemy for every 4+ and 1 to herself for every 1 rolled) and she can tele-transport any Ravager within 6″ of her for a Triple. Considering her Toughness 3 better keep her out of harm’s way.

Gikkit and Shank have the same identical profile of a Stab-grot (as they are grots) but for some reason they are also minions, meaning they can be bossed around by Krookgrin and Gikkit is a Warrior, giving him access to the Orruk abilities, while Shank has the runemark that allows the use of Sneaky Snares, the same as Torka, to prevent an enemy move or disengage. New rules and fighter cards for using Fyreslayers in your games of Warcry. Be warned, they like hitting stuff hard and setting things on fire! Includes rules for 10 different loadouts over three fighter types. Overall this is a positive addition to Warcry, more than 100 new profiles and some really interesting cues for narrative play. But don’t expect to see them played in many tournaments. And while options are great, this also massively added to the bloat of the game. Hrothgorn Mantrappers surely aim for the role that Mollog's Mob play so far. It is strongly focused around the main character and from the fluff that covers that role in a proper way. Even the way the designer explained how the inspiration worked, that as soon as Hrothgorn guzzles down an enemy fighter, he is strengthened and the others are relieved that he didn't eat them. Center of Attention] – This is another Flush Them Out enabler, which can also be crucial in efficiently inspiring Hrothgorn. You can also use this in a pinch to combo with Bushwakka and his trap – moving him, reacting with his trap, placing it in between himself and an enemy fighter, and then using Center of Attention to drag them in.

They have access to all Ogor abilities, including On the Mawpath (3″ Move), Bullcharge (damage after movement) and Might Makes Right for the leader (free move or action after taking down an enemy). Grinkrak’s Looncourt is a Gloomspite Gitz Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 7, whose rules are available in White Dwarf 485. Replace] [ Icy Breath] – Ping damage is not something I generally feel you need for this playstyle, especially ping damage that is not guaranteed. Pass. Hrothgorn’s Mantrappers are an Ogor Mawtribes Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 3. Games developer Louis Aguilar has taken over from Jervis this month to talk about writing army lists and how to get the most out of your forces.

Stormsire’s Cursebreakers are a Stormcast Eternals Sacrosanct Chamber Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 2. Zharkus and Ghartok are Blood Warriors with Goreaxe and Gorefist, with access to same profile and abilities at an increased cost. Staggering Blow(Double, Dhoraz): force an enemy to perform a bonus disengage action or suffer D6 damage. Morgwaeth’s Blade Coven is a Daughters of Khaine Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 3.Replace] [ Desperate Parry] – A single-use, Gnoblar restricted upgrade that only goes off 50% of the time. Big yikes. Save your sanity, ditch this card. Bloodscent(Triple, Riptooth):perform a bonus move with all friendly characters within range of him. Some warbands are really unique, for example Rippa’s Snarlfangs or Skaeth’s Wild Hunt, and there will be more from the future seasons of Warhammer Underworlds, but for now, some warbands are just plain and boring, adding really little new to Warcry.

Scavenged Armour] – This is a great card for aggressive warbands, especially ones that can take advantage of Beast Trail. Giving Hrothgorn an extra wound is always great, but the guard token, especially when inspired, can give him even more staying power in enemy lines. Ironfist (Double, Crusher, Mournfang Rider with Culling Club and Ironfist, Ogor Glutton with Ironfist): A chance to do up to 12 damage to an engaged enemy. Hrothgorn is armed with a trap launcher, a mobile bolt thrower that shoots traps connected to a chain, so he can pull his prey closer to him. Working towards his inspiring condition. The others support these actions, for example by making the trap launcher more efficient or moving enemies closer to Hrothgorn. If you enjoy the miniatures but not the rules, you can always use them as their base version, so that you can see them grow and, why not?, die or get badly maimed. Bounding Leaps (Double, Icefall Yhetee and Gorger): The fighter makes a bonus move towards the closest enemy.

Frantic Exchange

You can take a Bladeborn Leader as your warband Leader or you can take it as an Ally within the same grand alliance. In that case you can also take all fighters with the same Bladeborn runemark as allies. As of the writing of this article (mid July 2021), we’re heading towards the twilight months of the current Beastgrave/Direchasm season of the Championship format. What does this mean? It means that at the end of the season (heralded by the release of the starter set for the new season), all Beastgrave universal cards will rotate out of play, and will no longer be legal in the Championship format. As such, the universal cards we’re recommending below from the Rippa’s Snarlfangs expansion will only be useable until that rotation date (which was December for the release of Direchasm, but historically has been around late September). Note that all Beastgrave warbands, and indeed every warband that has been released since the very first Warhammer Underworlds boxed set, will always be legal (and that includes their faction-specific cards, unless banned or restricted in the future). Aggressive Strategy] – We’ve deliberately gone for as consistent surges as we can, and this is why. This is a solid 2 glory end phase card that we can score just by cycling through our surges. It can be awkward to draw in turn one, but it’s generally worth keeping (especially if it’s alongside surges anyway). A Direchasm onwards alternative to this card could be a lower glory ceiling card that rewards you for killing, such as [ Aggressive Display] or [ Cold-blooded Killers] . Stormsire's Cursebreakers • Thorns of the Briar Queen • Eyes of the Nine • Zarbag's Gitz • Mollog's Mob • Godsworn Hunt • Ylthari's Guardians • Thundrik's Profiteers
