I wanted to read the next couple's story, but right now I'm really unsure. If things don't change from this book, I won't be reading it. Monroe (19 once the book takes off but 10 in the prologue and 17 in her first chapter) has had a hard life. Her mom, rest in peace, used to sell herself and was an addict. Unfortunately, young Monroe witnessed a lot of things (including her death), and was eventually put in the foster system. Now that she’s about to turn 18, her foster dad is looking at her and in a 🥴 way, and she needs to leave. She gets away from that life and arrives in Dallas where she meets a sweet homeless man, Bill, who directs her to a woman’s shelter.Rachel was not professional at all, just needy. I got the impression that if all the players gave her an especial attention she would have slept with them all too. So… This book definitely lived up to the hype for me! how dedicated he is ❤️. He’s not gonna let ANYONE stop him from being with Monroe 😮‍💨 not even Monroe 🤣💁Some of the sex scenes had me 😳 but also some were too much and I had to skip lol. And breeding kinks just are not my thing 😵‍💫 so that took a star off for me. But the first sex scene between Ilmari and Rachel had me on my knees 🧎🏻‍♀️but the group scenes were kinda meh and I sometimes had trouble knowing who was where doing what lol. Honestly, this is the first book I have read by C.R Jane so I am not really familiar with her writing Style.

I saved this book because it looked like a cute premise. I opened it not prepared for darkness. I read 27% of it hoping I was missing something. And I skimmed the rest of the book in absolute disbelief. please note: this is a high-steam romance. So ofc there was A LOT of sex involved. What I liked tho, was, that it was not only group sex but they all also had intimate one-on-one encounters and threesomes in various combos. Eh. I’m on the fence on my rating… I liked/loved a lot of things and questioned other things as well… The mild push away from h initially is her just being scared. She’s hopelessly drawn to H and their chemistry is off the charts. Despite her hesitation she wants him as much as he wants her. The three male MC Jake, Caleb and Mars are all wonderful and have distinctively different personalities and characteristics. They all three consecutively deserve better, in my opinion.
