What is the shelf life for Topbuxus Health Mix? Topbuxus Health Mix doesn’t have an official shelf life. In our experience, as long as it is kept in the dry and out of direct sunlight it should last several years at least. This moment can be more easily predicted by using a Box tree moth trap to monitor Box tree moth activity, when moths are trapped you can expect new caterpillars a couple of weeks later. XenTari is a biological insecticide containing a natural, potent strain of the microorganism Bacillus Thuringiensis subspecies Aizawai (Bta) that controls caterpillar pests. The original Topbuxus Health Mix was developed when the growers realised spraying tonnes of fungicide onto their commercial box plants not only damaged the environment it came with no guarantee of prevention or cure. So together with Independent Research Institutes and the University of Wageningen they researched other ways to deal with blight instead. It can easily be applied as part of regular garden maintenance. Spraying plants and hedges five times a year keeps them in good health, leaving plants less susceptible to disease including box blight. Can I use Topbuxus Health Mix along with other sprays? In our experience Topbuxus Health Mix can be safely used along with any other sprays or insecticides. However, spraying with other products very soon after you’ve just applied Topbuxus Health Mix would not be advised as this may wash off the Health Mix. Allow Topbuxus Health Mix 24 hours to dry before applying anything else to your plants. (12 hours may be fine if the weather is warm and sunny.)

Do I apply Topbuxus Health Mix to the roots/base of the plant or spray all over? Topbuxus Health Mix is a folia feed and is taken in by the plant through the leaves, not the roots. Spray the plants all over and if possible apply to the center of the plant as well. Prevention

Mix 1 gram of TopBuxus XenTari with one 1 litre of water for every 10 square metres of hedge or plant surface. Spray both the upper and under side of the foliage thoroughly for best results. Once the treated leaves are consumed by a caterpillar, it will stop its feeding within the hour. The larvae die in the next 1 to 3 days, but the damage to the foliage is stopped almost instantly.
