About this deal

You won’t find many AMD X570S boards in the market. Due to the AMD change of gears towards AM5, the Intel’s Z690 on the horizon and the potential death of the chipset, manufacturers are not that attracted to keep producing these anymore. Compatible Processeurs AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series / Ryzen 5000 G-Series / Ryzen™ 4000 G Series/ Ryzen™ 3000 Series/ Ryzen™ 3000 G Series/ Ryzen™ 2000 Series/ Ryzen™ 2000 G Series

But if you’ve been holding off on upgrading, for example, you are looking for something upmarket to pair with a (now readily available) high core count processor, then it’s definitely worth a look. If/when AMD releases a Zen 3+ refresh or V-Cache models in a few months, premium tier X570S boards will be first out of the gate with support. Smart Fan 6 Features Multiple Temperature Sensors , Hybrid Fan Headers with FAN STOP and Noise Detection Taking these considerations into account, will you spend more money for a platform that is far from innovative, and in fact, is seeing its death just around the corner? The Z690 chipset is readily available, and it has PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support. Seeing these things happening in the market makes you want to hold on even harder to those “old” models that still perform well despite their apparent limitations. Same chipset specs AMD never announced the X570S chipset officially. Neither you will be able to find its specifications on the web. However, all of a sudden, manufacturers started to release X570S compatible motherboards. What was the difference? That “S” refers to “Silent” because they incorporate passive cooling (aluminum heatsinks, mostly). AUDIO BOOST 5: Reward your ears with studio grade sound quality for the most immersive gaming experienceEnhanced Power Design: 12+2 Duet Rail Power System, 8-pin plus 4-pin CPU power connectors, Core Boost, DDR4 Boost The AMD X570 boards have passed their maturity stage in the market, and therefore have a more comprehensive price point, despite having an additional element (the fan) in comparison with the X570S. Across the bottom are several headers, including RGB, USB, and more. Below is a complete list from left to right: Supports AMD Ryzen 5000 series, 5000 G-series, 4000 G-series, 3000 series, 3000 G-series, 2000 series and 2000 G-series desktop processors

This solution brought with it another problem: The fan, although small in size, was generating too much noise. This is something that is worth mentioning because the X570 was the first AMD chipset that added the extra PCIe 4.0 lane support at its core directly hosted by the CPU, for the Ryzen 3000 CPUs compliant with PCIe 4.0. The result is that the Ryzen 3000 and X570 used PCI-Express 4.0 to communicate with each other, which is an improvement over the X470.AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Processors/ Ryzen 5000 G-Series/ AMD Ryzen 4000 G-Series Processors/ AMD Ryzen 3000 Series Processors/ AMD Ryzen 3000 G-Series Processors/ AMD Ryzen 2000 Series Processors/ AMD Ryzen 2000 G-Series Processors Premium Thermal Solution: Aluminum cover, MOSFET thermal pads rated for 7W/mK, additional choke thermal pads and 3x M.2 Shield Frozr are built for high performance system and non-stop gaming experience Unless you are stressed or bothered by the noise (which is really marginal) from the motherboard fans, it doesn’t make much sense to go with the X570S motherboard paying the extra cost for it. X570 vs X570S: Platform Life AMD ® X570S UD Motherboard with Twin 12+2 Phases Digital VRM Solution with 50A DrMOS, Fully Covered Thermal Design, Triple Ultra-Fast NVMe PCIe 4.0/3.0 x4 M.2 with Thermal Guard, Fast 2.5GbE LAN, Rear & Front USB 3.2 Type-C ®, RGB FUSION 2.0, Q-Flash Plus Above the DRAM slots is the first four 4-pin fan headers. All headers support both PWM and DC control, each delivering up to 2A/24W of power. This configuration should be enough to power your watercooling loop directly from the board. You can control the devices through the BIOS or the company’s Smart Fan 6 application. Just to the right of these fan headers are the first (of two each in total) RGB and ARGB headers.

Shifting focus to the bottom half on the left side, we start with the audio section. Hidden under the shroud is a premium Realtek ALC1220-VB codec, along with gold Nichicon and red WIMA audio caps. Most users should find the audio quality to be plenty good for typical use. Creators after pristine audio may want to upgrade to professional audio hardware. Jumping down to the bottom half of the board, we’ll start with the audio, located on the left side. Hidden under the shroud is the Realtek ALC1220-VB codec. This flagship-class audio includes an ESS Sabre Hi-Fi 9118 DAC for headphones along with Chemicon and WIMA audio capacitors. Also visible is the audio separation line keeping the rest of the motherboard away from the audio bits. Although the codec used is from the last generation, it’s one of the best available and performs well enough for many users. Across the bottom are several headers, including USB ports and RGB headers. Here’s the complete list, from left to right: The AMD X570 chipset, was focused on desktop platform and for enthusiasts having a Ryzen 5000 or 3000. It was presented as the introductory step into PCI-Express 4.0 support in all its glory. However, the X470 chipset already came with PCIe 4.0 compatibility. There’s a flipside to that, though. AM4 is in the twilight of its venerable career. We’re casting an eye towards Zen 4, Alder Lake, and DDR5. There’s always something over the horizon though. But if you’re coming from something older, such as a B350 or Z170 system, and you need more cores or PCIe 4.0 support, you'll see a huge jump indeed.
